An Easy Trial Thanks To Carefully Thoughtout Upgrades | How And Who Was The Last Inquisitor?

Today's quest was a very significant one to the main story of the game. Not only do we get to know about Inquisitor Ameridan we also get to know about the beast of Orlais that laid dormant. The trial of Hakon was also good practice for my team management.

Before we start, let's do a recap.

Last Time

I found and completed what looked like one of the most difficult Astrarium puzzles.

I unlocked more campsites located at the top of the trees. More rifts near the map popped up, naturally, it attracted me.

I got to the village of the Avvar. A festival was afoot. The mountain climbing challenge.

I met with their Queen, Thane Svarah Sun-hair. She told her story about being called a Sun-hair. She talked about their clansmen, the Hakkonites. There were peace treaties between the two clans. Svarah didn't like their way of conduct, that they had lost their old ways. The Hakkonites attacked the camps of the humans below, to receive Svarah's help the Inquisition had to find their symbolic bear. They had the superstition that the bear's well-being was connected to the welfare of their society. She proposed that if we were to bring it back, she would be willing to help reduce the numbers of the Hakkonites.

Near the village, the area was an Augur. One that could talk to spirits. She told us about the woman who self-exiled herself. She had given the sacrifice to her god but things happened... The augur further told that the Inquisitor Adaar shone brightly in the realm of spirits. Everyone could recognize him as he would pass by them unbeknownst.

I talked with the battle master to enter the trial of Hakon. He asked me to deliver the items as a sacrifice.

This Time

The sacrifice was offered and the arena was open. The trial began. I had to survive a wave of 5 to get through it.
The prize was less than appreciable.

The characters got another level up!

For Vivienne, I got the Mana Surge perk from the Winter section. It would automatically explode into a wild magic blast when my Barrier would be broken. Pretty nifty, there were other suitable options from the Spirit section.

For Blackwall, I had upgraded from the Shield and Sword section. Its name is Turn the Blade. Any attack that Blackwall can see coming and any attack from the front is reduced in damage.

For Sera, I got the secondary perk of the Flask Of Lightning. It reduces the speed of the enemy while increasing the user's weapon damage by 300%. A great deal on an ability.

For Adaar, nothing was upgraded, still saving for the new ability place.

Next, I went to the ritual site where the lady, Sigrid, had made the ritual.
I forgot to mention that I changed my horse from the normal one but also, forgot the name of the current one.

I found the materials that were used for the ritual near the shore. Fortunately, there was another quest. I had to get to an island nearby. There I was to find more about the Inquisitor Ameridan. Many spirits were nearby. Sera was acting up because she was creeped out by the fact that these demons could enter her mind.

I reached the area but found no sign of Ameridan but a fade rift was present in a hut. I discharged it and found his wife there, still waiting for her beloved. Talana was the, a spirit took her place while the soul of Talana was already gone. A message was conveyed and a sad conversation was continued. She mentioned that a dragon with the forces of Hakon came from the back of a mountain and slew the villagers, the dragon had to be put down. Ameridan was here to put down the forces, this took place 800 years ago. He might've died fighting while trying to save the village.

I met some of the Hakkonite bowmen, a very sturdy and tough bunch. Difficult to put down.

There were side quests in the region and loot crates to visit. I made sure nothing was left unturned before leaving the island as I wasn't gonna visit it anytime soon.

I returned to the deep forest. I planned to figure out where Storevacker was. Turns out she was locked up in a cage by the Hakkonites. The Jaws of Hakkon was the first to break the treaty and so she had all the more reason for the Queen to side with me.

I led the bear back home and asked for the Queen's compliance. She obliged and asked me the time of commencement. I suggested the darkness of the night, her people could climb the walls while the infantry would try to barge in through the gates.

I then went to the ritual site and found a Gurgut attacking a woman. From its corpse, I found a webbing that Vivienne wanted, a quest from her. I decided to watch her pray, it was optional. Adaar felt something in him just when the prayer was finished.

I found an astrarium nearby and went straight to it. Took me a few tries to finish but got it!
Later, I went to close down the fade rift inside a mansion.

Enjoy the gameplay!!
