Burger Lab

This is a place that I used to order from last year, it’s been quite a while since I’ve had them and wanted know whether their quality was the same or not.
Situated at the end of Bashundhara r/a gate, Dhaka is this restaurant.

It has been here since the first days of me staying here. It had more options on burgers too, they cut them out sadly.

Also, I was very hungry at the time, I wanted to munch on something and didn’t want it to be the usual rice or pasta.

So, I walked to the place and found it a little less crowded, it’s usually filled and so I got a seat. I didn’t plan on eating there as I wanted to get back home and kick back and lavishly have my meal. I also wasn’t gonna visit this place for sometime so I went for the big one, the Cheese Blast.

I was told to wait for 10-15 minutes as they would prepare my food. I waited for 25 minutes😐. Then, after receiving I went out of the place and straight to home.

This amazing burger was the result. Albeit, I did ask for the extra sauce and extreme spicy, it wasn’t present as it could be seen here. It was juicy though, the cheese was melted to perfection, inside the patty. I love mayo and they didn’t overload with it. I did expect a “messy” meal but I guess they didn’t want their customers to have a difficult time avoiding the gooey sauce.

Chillox

Situated at the further edge of Bashundhara r/a, near the Heavily Centre, is this fine establishment. It’s branches are present at Dhanmondi too. I visited that branch with my friends before too.

This place was famous for dousing their customer’s burgers with extra sauce even when the customers would want less sauce. I have nothing against sauce but it had to be under a limit.
This was yesterday when I brought in this burger. I thought, as I was hungry and was spoiled by that huge burger at Burgerlab why not try it’s competitor’s?

It took some time for me to choose which burger I was gonna get as the options were numerous, each one more attractive than the other. I gravitated towards beef. I took a double decker Beef burger.
There was a double decker beef cheese as an option but as I read the ingredients it looked very similar to the one without cheese. No surprise there ig…

I had to wait for over 30 minutes for this burger. The place wasn’t that packed either.

First glance at it, it wasn’t very “inviting”. The mess of the sauce was showing and I didn’t want to have such mess on the sides of the mouth. Though I brought it home. They certainly lived up to their “custom” on sauce.

Halfway through it and my mouth was starting to heat up thanks to the thinly sliced peppers in the sea of sauce. I also found the slice of cheese, unmelted. Their cheese wasn’t heated enough, even though it took this much time to cook it.

In the end, Chillox takes the dub here. There are more alternatives for the burgers at the place but their service was a little off, the patty was filled with flavours and their composition of ingredients was a bit effective but clumsy. Albeit, the amount of sauce and the spiciness was on spot!
The lab’s burgers 🍔 were good and well presented but there was close to no spice in it.
