Today was one of those days when, unexpectedly, I woke up too ill. At around 2:00 am yesterday, I started to feel very bad pain in my lower back. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night, and woke up very dizzy and with a worrisome tachycardia. I don't usually call my dad that often because I know he has his earrings too, but this time I had to make an exception. I suspended my going to work and with the help of my dad went to the hospital. When they checked my blood pressure, to my surprise, it was 14 and the normal is 11.5!

The doctor on duty immediately took me to the hospital ward, where I had to wait for a gurney to be vacated before I could get my treatment. I tried to stay calm, and for that I set out to read some posts on Hive. Okay, I was not the only one in the room because there were many other patients, only that, due to the great saturation in the hospitals of Venezuela, getting sick was undoubtedly a huge and worrying problem. I waited half an hour, with the very strong pain in my side and back. I took a deep breath, as the doctor had recommended, and that way I was able to contain the ailments a bit.

As expected, the hospital didn't have any of the medicines I needed to ease the pain, so my dad had to go buy them because I couldn't even get up. The health situation that my country is going through is really sad, and even more so knowing that there are people with much more serious problems and with fewer economic resources than me. The truth was that I took out some of my savings with which I planned to go to Paris XD - to the extent that I can get to Paris with 50 $ XD - and my dad did me the favor of buying me the two vials and the syringe I needed.

As he arrived, a nurse helped me get up to take my weight measurements. Okay, I thought she was telling me fat –I should stop eating so many pizzas XD-, but she herself told me that it was something routine to collect data from the patient, that is, from me. I don't know if she was in pain or because she hadn't had breakfast, but she smelled like strawberries. Maybe she was a fruit perfume, all I know is that the smell of her made me crave a milkshake.

My father arrived an hour later because he could not get the medicine he needed, that is, he had been waiting for him for more than an hour and a half, counting all the time he had in the hospitalization room. The vials were super expensive, almost $ 8 each, that is very expensive when your salary is only $ 5! But health comes first, and for me it is not a problem to empty my savings to feel good. They already say: healthy body, happy heart :-D.

Then came the most difficult part: the injection! LOL. Yes, I am still terrified of XD syringes. But the nurse told me that she was not going to hurt and that it would be like a wasp puncture, I saying inside myself: "But wasp punctures hurt too!" In the end I ended up getting the courage to bear the XD needle. It was better to continue with the excruciating pain in the side.

I waited another half hour for the pain to subside. The doctor on duty sent me to do a lot of extra studies, which involve X-rays, electrocardiograms and a pressure Holter monitor. Yes ... goodbye to paris for now, but I'll get the money back. For now the most important thing is health :-).

I went back to my house and the rest of the day to sleep! Now, I am no longer sleepy but I feel good thank God. I hope to get back to work soon and keep saving for that absurd trip to France. Even though it was a somewhat gray day, I never let go of optimism. I know there are difficult situations, but when you realize that everything will be fine, you will see that even in the storm we are capable of smiling...
