A little quiet time while running errands today πŸ™‚

7 more sleeps and my family and I will be entering a new season in life. My daughter is entering Primary 1 on the 21st this month, and my heart and soul has been feeling all sorts of things. Even my body is trying to regulate herself with all the jitters.

Recent mood; jumpy like a pea on a hot pan.

Looking back, I wonder how my mother went through this with the four of us. Without knowing the language. Or having the help of anyone.

MAMA, YOU'RE MY HERO!!!!!!

A little sidenote, my ma isn't Malaysian. Doesn't speak Mandarin, her Bahasa Malaysia was and is self taught. She may even speak better than you grammatically. Hahaha!

Anyway, today I went out on a quest to hunt for Miss A's lunch box and hopefully find some silicone muffin cup molds as an added divider and container within the lunch box as a hack.

I set out to check out a nearby mall called Setapak Central. There is a Daiso and also Mr. DIY outlet there. Wasn't feeling too well this morning but I still went ahead with my upset tummy. Alas, the things that I was looking for were nowhere to be found.

By then it was already 1pm, so after some thought I decided to settle my lunch at the mall before heading out elsewhere to continue my hunt.

I visited my favorite Korean joint, Bee Won.

Surprisingly, it wasn't crowded when I reached the restaurant. A stark contrast to what you'd see back in the days whereby you'll need to queue and wait as the restaurant would have been full even before lunch or dinner hours.

After scanning the QR code to enter, I was seated at a cubicle near the entrance, just nice for a lone diner. I was quickly handed the menu, and the waiter gave me some time to browse through before I decide what to order.

This was one of the pages with some of my favorites, can you guess what they are?

After looking through the pages and assessing my tummy situation, I decided to order their oxtail soup and requested for the rice to be changed into noodles instead.

The waiter obliged. I was a happy girl.

And while waiting, I decided to just snap a selfie as a reminder of how I looked today. Hi there!

Look at the nice and simple deco on top.

Very soon, my food arrived. My oxtail soup with ramen noodles along with 4 yummy side dishes. ALL TO MYSELF. MMMMMM...

Would you look at that... Hot, comforting, delicious and hearty. All in a bowl. Can't complain.

We have pumpkin, kimchi, fried egg battered cucumber and anchovies with peanuts for their side dishes today. The owners of the restaurant are a Korean couple who have been operating their business here in Malaysia for over a decade. The boss even asked me if I knew one of the side dishes was a pumpkin dish, to which I replied yes. He had a big smile on his face.

I slowly took my time to enjoy and let my mind go blank as I quietly devoured every mouthful of deliciousness. By the end of it, I finished 90% of the food except for the anchovies with peanuts side dish as I was full to the brim.

After paying at the counter, I quickly left the mall and off I went to another place to continue my hunt.

Aeon Big.

I shall save that part for another day.

So grateful that my husband was such a trooper enjoying his time at home with the children. I was out the whole afternoon. He even sent me a picture of the littlest napping.

Forever my ride or die, that one.

I had a good Sunday. I drank my favorite bubble milk tea. I even bought some cheese tarts and mangoes home. Yums!

If you cannot find it in Daiso and Mr DIY, you probably have better luck finding it online.

Boiled noodles look really good there, very similar to the instant noodles in my country, but here we get them at streetfood
