Hello, Hivers✨! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Today, I’m excited to share another simple but delicious creation from our kitchen. This time, the star of the day is a sweet and fragrant nangka, or jackfruit🍈💛!

My father bought this nangka from the Saturday Farmers' Market, bringing home this wonderful local fruit for us to enjoy. Instead of simply eating all of it fresh, I decided to turn some of its golden, sweet flesh into a refreshing homemade shake🥤✨.

The first step was collecting the delicious nangka flesh from inside the fruit. This part took a little patience because I had to carefully separate each golden fruit from the other parts inside.

Of course, I also had to deal with the tagok, the sticky sap of the jackfruit😅. Anyone who has prepared fresh nangka before probably knows how challenging and sticky it can be. And how hard to wash it off. But after carefully collecting the sweet flesh, it was finally ready to become the main ingredient for my shake.

After preparing the nangka, it was time to turn it into something cold and refreshing. I blended the sweet jackfruit flesh with the other ingredients such as evaporated milk, brown sugar, and crushed ice until it became smooth and creamy.

The result was a beautifully golden nangka shake, sweet, creamy, refreshing, and full of the natural flavor and aroma of fresh jackfruit💛🧊🥤! And you can notice that the nangka flesh didn’t completely dissolved because you can still taste some small pieces of it.

I realized that there is always something special about making food and drinks from fresh ingredients bought from a local farmers' market. From my father's saturday market purchase to carefully collecting the nangka flesh and finally enjoying it as a cold shake, every step became part of the experience.
Sometimes, the best treats come from the simplest and freshest ingredients🍈💛!

Have you ever tried a fresh nangka shake🥤✨?
