Monomad: Architecture in Black and White

This is a collection of architecture black and white images from my portfolio. Architecture is a subject I thoroughly enjoying photographing, especially in this fine art black and white style. Form clearly takes a lead role. Each angled line and mix of building materials come together in a cohesive way to represent the character of the building and the creative eye of the architects involved in their designs.

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Impressive photographs of perfect contrast between the structures and their photographic composition.

So clean and perfect! I could stare at them for ages, I'm finding them quite hypnotic. Am really enjoying the range of photography in your posts, a different journey every time. Wonderful!

Wow, thank you Cath for the great compliment! Each image took 4 to 10 hours to edit so it was definitely a labor of love. I'm happy you are enjoying my articles. I do try to mix things up a bit and as you can tell, I enjoy quite a few different genres of photography.

Always been a fan of these kinds of super moody architectural images, but can never seem to create them. Beautiful work.

Thank you Tristan! Yeah they were fairly popular 5 years ago or so. They do take a lot of time to edit but worth it when the subject is right.

The way you use selective light and shadow to create such moody scenes is just unreal. I don't typically think of architecture photography as being moody, but you've really brought this genre to a whole different level with your artistic use of light in these images. Well done!
