#RockClassics - Remembering CLiff Burton
Hi,
on this date, in 1986, Cliff Burton, the bass guitar player of Metallica, died in a tragic accident in Sweden.
The members had a draw on who would get the best sleeping place in the band bus, and Cliff won, which in the end was a tragic win.
He managed to work on 4 of Metallica's albums:
- Kill 'Em All (1983)
- Ride the Lightning (1984)
- Master of Puppets (1986)
- ...And Justice for All (1988
These are some of the greatest albums in rock history.
Even *Megadeth composed a tribute song for Cliff, In My Darkest Hour was dedicated to him. Dave Mustaine, was one of the early members of Metallica.

Cliff was a great bassist. I was in high school when it was announced. I was very upset. I’ve seen Metallica over 20 times. Great post
