German Unity Day - Tag der Deutschen Einheit

Dear fellow readers, today is October 3rd, which is also the Day of German Unity. It is the national holiday of Germany.
I, as a foreign-born resident, feel that I perhaps give more value to this day than the citizens. Some are even ashamed of being born in Germany. I see this spectacle as very sad. If you look left and right, you can see that the other nations celebrate their national holiday properly. It celebrates culture and history and the importance of this nation in this world.
You shouldn't be ashamed of it and talk badly about your country. If you look at Russia, the USA, France or Poland, you can see that they value their flag and nation. To be proud is rather an exaggeration because most of the time you have contributed very little to history, development, or culture. It should be a celebration to remind all of us who live here of the values, and to leave a little boost on this piece of earth better than we found it.
In the end I would just like to thank Germany for the created opportunities, because here you have a lot of opportunities in contrast to other places in this world and wish you a happy birthday!

liebe Mitleser, heute haben wir den 3. Oktober, was auch den Tag der Deutschen Einheit ist. Es ist das Nationalfeiertag Deutschlands.
Ich, als im Ausland geborenen Einwohner, fühle, dass ich vielleicht mehr Wert diesem Tag gebe als die Staatsbürger. Einige schämen sich sogar dafür, in Deutschland geboren zu sein. Dieses Spektakel sehe ich als sehr traurig an. Schaut man links und rechts sieht man, dass die anderen Nationen ihren Nationalfeiertag richtig feiern. Es wird die Kultur und Geschichte gefeiert und die Bedeutung der Nation in dieser Welt.
Man sollte sich dafür nicht schämen und sein Land schlecht reden. Wenn man nach Russland, USA, Frankreich oder Polen schaut, sieht man, dass die ihre Fahne und Nation schätzen. Stolz zu sein ist eher übertrieben, weil man meisten sehr wenig zur Geschichte, Entwicklung oder Kultur beigetragen hat. Es sollte eine Feier, die uns alle die hier Leben an die Werte erinnern soll, und einen kleinen Schub dieses Stückchen Erde besser zu hinterlassen als wir es gefunden haben.
Am Ende möchte ich nur Deutschland danken für die erzeugten Chancen, weil hier hat man sehr viele Chancen im Gegensatz zu anderen Plätze in dieser Welt und ein Alles Gute zum Geburtstag wünschen!

Ja, das Land und die Leute sind hier anders aber oftmals auch anders. ;-)
So ist der Tag der Deutschen Einheit eigentlich eine Erinnerung an den CSU Politiker Franz Josef Strauß, der an diesem Tage seinen Todestag hat.

Das war damals, Ende Ära der DDR, als es eigentlich um die Einheit ging, ein Schlag ins Gesicht der anders denkenden Menschen.

So the Day of German Unity is actually a reminder of the CSU politician Franz Josef Strauß, who has his death anniversary on this day.

That was then, end era of the GDR, when it was actually about unity, a slap in the face of people who think differently.

Genau. ich bin auch eingewandert und beobachte nur kopfschüttelnd wie die Landsleute mit ihrem eigenen Land umgehen. Dabei hat Deutschland sehr viel zu bieten und ich bin froh hier aufgewachsen zu sein.
Wenn ich es fertig kriege wollte ich morgen genau zu dem Thema einen Post veröffentlichen, wo es eben um Dinge wie Patriotismus oder Nihilismus geht.
Kein Land ist perfekt, aber man kann ja dran arbeiten. Sein eigenes Land zu verachten ist wie die eigene Wohnung verkümmern zu lassen. Irgendwann stinkt alles und man möchte nicht mehr drin wohnen.
Auch wenn ich mich unbeliebt mache, ich bin damit aufgewachsen und für mich ist gefühlt der 17. Juni noch immer der Tag der deutschen Einheit und Bonn die eigentliche Hauptstadt, 3. Oktober ist eh doof da während der Wiesn, falls die mal wieder richtig läuft in Zukunft.
