If China developed a figure comparable to Elon Musk, the state would likely clear every obstacle, pour in massive resources, and align the nation behind a single goal to win. In that scenario, the U.S.-China race wouldn’t be close

That reality deserves recognition regardless of personal feelings about him
His efforts helped push the U.S. back into the lead in areas that would otherwise have been out of reach — electric vehicles, reusable rockets, satellite internet, AI, robotics, advanced manufacturing.
Without that kind of entrepreneur and relentless determination, it’s difficult to imagine the U.S. leading in any of these fields today
Agreement with every statement isn’t necessary to see the impact. Vision at this scale is rare, and the ability to execute it is even rarer
It’s unfortunate to see many Americans treat him like trash when he might actually be a national treasure unlikely to be seen again
