LOH Contest #132- Miausi: the night lamp that means a lot to me and my daughter (EN/ES)

Hello Hive friends, especially to the Ladies Of Hive community. Here I am responding with a lot of feeling to the initiative of Ladies of Hive Community Contest #132. I will answer both questions.
Material things are not the most valuable thing in life, however, there are material things that bring joy to our days. Show us something unnecessary but that makes you happy, it can be a simple toy or even a mug with a design that you like, and tell us the story behind that object.
Miausi, that's how my daughter put it when she could already talk. "Mommy, Mommy, turn on Meausi" Meausi is a night lamp, which arrived as a gift from one of my daughter's aunts.It lit up my single motherhood nights, while breastfeeding my daughter. I spend whole nights turned on for hours, being the little ray of light that illuminated my Darkness. That panic of being a new mother and alone, with a fear that something would happen to my little newborn at night. He was my watchful light. Meausi, it doesn't work anymore, I think from so many nights working it just came to an end. I tried to fix it but it seems to have no fix. Hehehe however, it still occupies a special place on our bedside table. We already have another simpler lamp. But Miausi is always there, "A faithful cat" like Woody with Andy. Watchman of our dreams. It makes me feel somehow accompanied. Lol at the bottom of the photo, the first book I bought for my daughter when she was pregnant, with my college scholarship. And forward a little book made by my Lia. Knowing about my great love for books.
We are not always surrounded by people who share our same tastes or interests. Tell us about the last movie, series, documentary or book you've seen or read that you want to talk to someone about but haven't had the chance.
"A Vampire in Maracaibo" by Norberto José Olivar. It is a detective novel that goes through horror and horror. As Venezuelan literature is, it is very difficult to find someone to talk to about these books and that there would be a response worthy of the book. Lol because everyone gets carried away by the title. Even I managed a smile, because I couldn't imagine my concept of a vampire in a city as hot as Maracaibo - Venezuela. But really the novel is good, I think it intersects different subgenres within the same novel, it has chronicles, stories, fables, reports, myths and even humor. I would really like my friends to read it. Hahaha so I could have a conversation about her. Or at least to watch the Venezuelan movie based on the text, which although varies a little, is interesting. Now I am eager to be able to present it in my master's degree in Latin American and Caribbean literature, I hope I can talk a lot about it together with my classmates, which by the way has two awards, in the 2008 Novel critics award and in 2010, Caracas municipal award. Now I want to read the entire bibliography of the author, since his favorite genre is horror and horror, but linked to the story. Totally recommended.

Hola amigos de Hive, en especial a la comunidad de Ladies Of Hive. Acá me encuentro respondiendo con mucho sentimiento la iniciativa de Ladies of Hive Community Contest #132. responderé ambas preguntas.
Las cosas materiales no son lo más valioso en la vida, sin embargo, hay cosas materiales que traen alegría a nuestros días. Muéstranos algo innecesario pero que te haga feliz, puede ser un juguete simple o incluso una taza con un diseño que te guste, y cuéntanos la historia detrás de ese objeto.
Miausi, así le puso mi hija cuando ya podía hablar. "Mami, mami, enciende a Miausi" Miausi es una lámpara nocturna, que llegó como regalo de una de las tias de mi hija, iluminó mis noches de maternidad soltera, mientras amamantaba a mi hija. Paso noches enteras encendida durante horas, siendo el rayito de luz que alumbraba mi Oscuridad. Ese pánico de ser madre primeriza y sola, con un temor a que mi pequeña recién nacida le ocurriera algo en la noche. Era mi luz vigilante. Miausi, ya no funciona, creo que de tantas noches funcionando simplemente llegó a su fin. Intenté arreglarla pero parece no tener arreglo. Jejeje sin embargo, sigue ocupando un lugar especial en nuestra mesita de noche. Ya tenemos otra lamparita más sencilla. Pero Miausi siempre está allí, "Un gato fiel" cómo woody con Andy. Vigilante de nuestros sueños. Me hace sentir de alguna manera acompañada. Jajaja al fondo de la foto, el primer Libro que le compré a mi hija estando embarazada, con mi beca de la universidad. Y adelante un librito hecho por mi Lía. Sabiendo de mi gran amor por los libros.
No siempre estamos rodeados de personas que comparten nuestros mismos gustos o intereses. Cuéntanos cuál fue la última película, serie, documental o libro que has visto o leído del que quieres hablar con alguien pero no has tenido la oportunidad
"Un vampiro en Maracaibo" de Norberto José Olivar. Es una novela de género detectivesco que atraviesa el terror y horror. Cómo es literatura venezolana, es muy difícil encontrar con quién conversar sobre estos libros y que hubiese una respuesta digna del libro. Jajaja porque todo el mundo se deja llevar por el título. Incluso yo esboce una sonrisa, porque no me imaginaba mi concepto de vampiro en una ciudad tan calurosa como Maracaibo - Venezuela. Pero realmente la novela es buena, creo que entrecruza diferentes subgéneros dentro de la misma novela, tiene cronica, relatos, fábulas, reportajes, mitos y hasta humor. Quisiera mucho que mis amigos la leyeran. Jajaja para poder conversar sobre ella. O al menos que vean la película venezolana basada en el texto, que aunque varía un poco, es interesante. Ahora estoy ansiosa por poder presentarla en mi maestría de literatura latinoamericana y del caribe, espero pueda junto a mis compañeros hablar bastante sobre ella, que por cierto tiene dos premios, en el 2008 premio de la crítica de Novela y en el 2010, premio municipal de Caracas. Ahora quiero leer toda la bibliografía del autor, ya que su genero favorito es el terror y horror, pero enlazados a la historia. Totalmente recomendado.

Y con respecto al libro, me hiciste recordar a un buen querido amigo mío que hizo una novela sobre vampiros llamada "Raza Oculta". Él es de aquí de Venezuela y le apasiona la escritura. Le recomendaré el libro que mencionas. Un fuerte abrazo.

Awww that's a cute night lap. We also have something like this but it has a clock on it. Mom had it when I was just a kid and it's amazing that the clock is still working right now. Anyhow, it's really cute seems like your daughter live it so uch.
Yes, she loves Miausi. What a nice memory you have of your mom, and it's good that it still serves. It is a memory with high sentimental value
Material is not last forever. But some materials are really important for our lives. Some can makes comfortable and suitable to enjoy the day.

Yeah, he's super adorable. The funniest thing for her is that she changed colors. You still get it out there, to buy a new one, but, it has a lot of emotional value.

Un vampiro en Marcaibo, el título también me hizo reír, debe ser muy buen libro, me gustaría leerlo, me causa gracias porque tengo un amigo que siempre me ha llamado vampiresa 🤣 lo cual es gracioso porque soy de Carora, tan cerca al zulia y por ende tan calurosa ciudad.

Ah! Es buena técnica también. Jajaja la tele en mudo. Bueno, se consigue .epub y es muy adictivo de leer. Aunque el título haga chiste adentro te consigues con muchas imágenes dignas de una serie de Netflix.

Amiga, bellísimo Miausi 😍, me encantó. Y sobre todo me pareció muy lindo que fuera ese rayito de luz entre la oscuridad del momento.
Y con respeta tu lectura, creo que ese es un libro tipo el de Gabriel García Márquez, "Crónicas de una muerte anunciada", muy pocas personas lo han leído por el título pero es muy bueno jeje te lo recomiendo.
