LIL - Contribution to LMAC: Rufous grasshopper & Planthopper insect (Ricaniidae)

This is my contribution for LMAC

In this post, I also share at least two insect species that I find at the location where I usually hunt for insect photos, namely in the bushes in the interior of North Aceh, Indonesia. Precisely in the village of Serba Jaman Tunong, Tanah Luas, Aceh, Indonesia.

As for the photo of the insect, I mean the grasshopper species, in more detail it is the rufous grasshopper (Gomphocerippus rufus). In appearance this grasshopper has a medium size with a dominant color of brown and short horns.

While in the second photo is Ricaniidae, at first I thought this ricaniidae was a moth but my guess was wrong, it turned out to be a planthopper insect species. Here are some photos:

wow amazing I love insect macros as I often think it's their size and the fact we can't see their eyes that makes us unable to identify with them, these macro shots allow us to connect in a different way.

You are right @ultravioletmag

I also like taking pictures of them, when I'm not working I take the time to go to the forest or at least to the bushes and the edge of the rice fields just to look for some insect photos, I'm happy with that especially I can share my shots on Hive.
