Grasshoppers from the Acridinae family

Happy weekend, how was your day off today, nice? I hope we are all always in good health and all affairs are smooth.

Because today is a holiday, this morning I took the time to go to the embankment area on the riverbank border between Tanah Luas and Paya Bakong sub-districts, Aceh, Indonesia.

The reason I chose this area apart from not being too far from where I live, there is also a lot of fresh grass growing and this will definitely be a place that makes several species of insects feel at home there like grasshoppers of course.

And sure enough, I found two species of grasshoppers there and they were Oxya yezoensis, a genus of grasshoppers (Caelifera: Acrididae) found in Africa and Asia. Then the silent slant-faced grasshoppers, the grasshopper subfamily Acridinae.
