traditional tools || monomad
This is my entry for the daily @monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes
at this time I show some photos of rencong where the object is a traditional tool used by the Acehnese people, which is a custom that exists in Indonesia. The tool was often used during the aceh kingdom which in ancient times this object was a knife used for in use by a king but until now these objects are still used during weddings in the tribe I found or have this object from my own house because in my house there are many wedding tools or the use of a king first. this object is made of brass which has sharpness like a knife because this object has to protect us like a weapon in ancient wars. So for now it is no longer in use because the world has grown and has sophisticated technology. likes and cultures but they have different means of war.

the aceh tribe is the tip of an island of North Sumatra which has nature and features in an area. even though we are in Indonesia, but our tribes and customs are different. Aceh has advantages in the eyes of foreigners or foreign countries because our area has very useful wealth. In ancient times the portuguese country sailed to the aceh area. the Portuguese were very happy with the people aceh.and being a very good agricultural trade, aceh is one of the areas in the Indian Ocean that has good natural products. so now I'm telling the history of ancient times and related to the object from this photo at the time, the kingdom of Aceh. Because this object was very liked by the Portuguese in ancient times because it became an object that has interesting and useful art.

Interesting @alex-zen, but I can't tell from the images; is the knife inside a sheath or scabbard? I can't really tell what the cutting edge looks like. If the blade itself is black with designs, then that would explain it
Good stuff, I wish it weren't B&W, then perhaps I could tell better
the end of the thing is sharp, I can't open it again because the object has been glued because the object is very old. Thank you for the support my friend.
Well I would try to see about getting it open, methinks its value as an antique and as an "objet d'art" would definitely increase by making it functional. If you are afraid you might damage it, I feel sure you can find someone with experience handling old and delicate objects.
Good Luck and keep us posted.
Yeah right. Maybe I'm too anxious and don't think it's a very good thing if I open it. but I will try it later. I have followed twitter sir. Please follow me again. I wish you success and always have health.
I've followed you here and Twitter. Be well
