Zambel Waterfalls of the Rio Cavallo - Trentino Alto Adige - - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

Hello friends, given the tremendous heat of these days, today I bring you another post with a beautiful and fresh waterfall!

Ciao amici, visto il caldo tremendo di questi giorni, oggi vi porto un altro post con una bellissima e freschissima cascata!

I was in full exploration day, I was near Folgaria in Trentino Alto Adige and I was driving in search of a cool post where to have a picnic.

Ero in piena giornata esplorativa, mi trovavo nei pressi di Folgaria in Trentino Alto Adige e stavo guidando alla ricerca di un post fresco dove fare un pic nic.

While driving I had a keen eye on google maps and I noticed this park. I was down in altitude and it was hot but I was starving and it seemed like a nice shady place to take a break and eat.

Mentre guidavo avevo l'occhia attento su google maps e mi sono accorto di questo parco. Ero sceso di quota e faceva caldo ma stavo morendo di fame e sembrava un bel posto all'ombra dove fare una pausa e mangiare.

The park where I ate is located in Calliano and is surrounded by vineyards.

Nearby is the Beseno castle, which I visited a couple of years ago, and it's really beautiful, I recommend you to visit it.

Il parco dove ho mangiato si trova a Calliano ed è circondato da vigneti.

Lì vicino c'è castel Beseno, che ho visitato un paio di anni fa, ed è veramente bello, vi consiglio di visitarlo.

A stone's throw from the park is the Zambel del Rio Cavallo waterfall, the reviews on google maps spoke well of it, so I decided to go there.

A due passi dal parco c'è la cascata Zambel del Rio Cavallo, le recensioni su google maps ne parlavano bene, così ho deciso di raggiungerlo.

To reach it you have to cross an equestrian center.

Per raggiungerla bisogna attraversare un maneggio ippico.

Despite the altitude of only 180 meters above sea level, the view over the vineyards and the mountains in the background is very beautiful.

Nonostante l'altitudine di solo 180 metri sul livello del mare, la vista sui vigneti e le montagne sullo sfondo, è molto bella.

The path through the equestrian center is very beautiful. There are multiple training fields located at different altitudes.

Il percorso che attraversa il centro ippico è molto bello. Ci sono più campi di allenamento posti a quote differenti.

After a few meters I came to a pedestrian bridge that I accidentally decided to cross and continue along the path.

Dopo pochi metri sono giunto a un ponte pedonale che per errore ho deciso di attraversare e proseguire lungo il sentiero.

As I said, I was mistakenly continuing, but the waterfall was not in that direction.

Come dicevo, errorneamente stavo proseguendo, ma la cascata non era in quella direzione.

The trail was very nice but I was totally off the road.

Il sentiero era molto bello ma ero totalmente fuori strada.

At one point I continued along a stretch totally exposed to the sun, I was dying of heat.

Ad un certo punto ho proseguito lungo un tratto totalmente esposto al sole, stavo morendo di caldo.

I was realizing that I had taken the wrong path, there could not be a waterfall in that place!

Stavo realizzando che avevo sbagliato percorso, non poteva esserci una cascata in quel luogo!

Looking at the map I found along the path, I found that I was far from Rio Cavallo, so I had to retrace my steps and figure out which way to take.

Meanwhile, I took the opportunity to admire the Beseno castle that overlooked the plain where I was.

Osservando la cartina che ho trovato lungo il sentiero ho constatato che ero distante dal Rio Cavallo, quindi dovevo tornare sui miei passi e capire che strada prendere.

Intanto ho approffittato per ammirare castel Beseno che sovrastava la pianura dove mi trovavo.

When I came back I realized that before the bridge I had crossed, go left. That was the path to the waterfall!

Quando sono tornato indietro mi sono accorto che prima del ponte che avevo attraversato, andare a sinistra. Quello era il percorso per la cascata!

To confirm this, there were people who walked towards the waterfall.

ITA

A conferma di ciò, c'erano le persone che si incamminarono in direzione cascata.

All of a sudden I was left speechless.

Who would have thought there was such a beautiful place hidden in the greenery?

Ad un tratto sono rimasto a bocca aperta.

Chi lo avrebbe mai detto che c'era una posto così bello nascosto nella vegetazione?

I took some shots to document and show you my discovery.

The temperature there was perfect.

Water flowed from the sides along the rock which helped to create a fantastic micro climate.

Ho fatto qualche scatto per documentare e mostrarvi questa mia scoperta.

La temperatura lì era perfetta.

Dai lati lungo la roccia scendeva acqua che contribuiva a creare un micro clima fantastico.

On the left there was a steep staircase, I decided to explore...

Sulla sinistra c'er auna ripida scala, ho deciso di esplorare...

Once up the first ramp, there was immediately another equally steep.

ITA

Salita la prima rampa, ce n'era subito un'altro altrettanto ripida.

Then, other small ramps in succession...

ITA

Poi, altre piccole rampe in successione...

At one point I came to a narrow path flanked on the left by a transparent watercourse, there were even fish!

Ad un certo punto sono giunto ad un stretto sentiero costeggiato sulla sinistra da un corso d'acqua trasparente, c'erano anche dei pesci!

I had arrived over the waterfall!

ITA

Ero arrivato sopra la cascata!

Looking towards the horizon there was a very beautiful view in axis with the Rio Cavallo, I could see a swimming pool and the mountains in the background.

Guardando verso l'orizzonte c'era una vista molto bella in asse con il rio Cavallo, riuscivo a vedere una piscina e sullo sfondo le montagne.

There was the possibility of continuing with other stairs and closing, through a ring path, which would have led me back to the park.

C'era la possibilità di proseguire con altre scale e chiudere, attraverso un percorso ad anello, che mi avrebbe ricondotto al parco.

After browsing the path, I went back to the waterfall to try and take pictures from closer.

ITA

Dopo essere andato a curiosare il percorso sono tornato verso la cascata per provare a fare foto da più vicino.

Finally the waterfall was free from people so I could get closer and take pictures without any problems.

Finalmente la cascata era libera da persone così ho potuto avvicinarmi di più e fare foto senza problemi.

The photos do not convey the idea, it is a large and pleasant place, where you can relax in the cool.

Le foto non rendono l'idea, è un posto ampio e piacevole, dove ci si puà rilassare al fresco.

Along the stream many people sunbathed or cooled off in the water.

ITA

Lungo il torrente molte persone prendevano il sole o si rinfrescavano nell'acqua.

I wanted to go back to Folgaria to visit the historic center which I will tell you about next time.
Now I have to go that I have a commitment, see you next time!
