Excursion to the medieval village of Tenno - Trentino Alto Adige - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

Hello everyone, today I bring you near Lake Garda, precisely in Tenno, where near the ancient castle you can visit a beautiful medieval village still inhabited.

Ciao a tutti, oggi vi porto vicino al lago di Garda, precisamente a Tenno, dove nei pressi dell'antico castello è visitabile un bellissimo borgo medievale tutt'ora abitato.

Unfortunately, the castle cannot be visited so attracted by the ancient houses that surround it, we took an alley and entered a beautiful town made up of houses leaning against each other and streets that always gave new perspectives.

Il castello purtroppo non è visitabile così attratti dalle antiche case che lo circondano, abbiamo imboccato un vicolo e siamo entrati un bellissimo abitato fatto di case addossate l'una all'altra e stradine che regalavano prospettive sempre nuove.

As for the Canale village, which I wrote a post about a couple of weeks ago, here too the aspect that attracted me most is the dynamism of the architectural fabric that is never taken for granted because it is not repetitive, so at every meter you can stop to observe ever new details.

Come per il borgo Canale che di cui ho fatto un post un paio di settimane fa anche qui l'aspetto che mi attirato di più è il dinamismo del tessuto architettonico che non è mai scontato perchè non è ripetitivo, quindi ad ogni metro ci si può fermare ad osservare dettagli sempre nuovi.

The people who live in the village have adorned the spaces overlooking the street with small creative expedients ... small initiatives that however embellish the environment.

Le persone che abitano nel borgo hanno ornano con piccoli espdienti creativi gli spazi che si affacciano sulla strada...piccole iniziative che però impreziosiscono l'ambiente.

Thanks to the advice of a resident, we continued the road in the direction of an ancient church...

Grazie al consiglio di un residente, abbiamo proseguito la strada in direzione di un'antica chiesa...

The houses at that point were a little further apart and you could admire the surrounding mountains.

Le case in quel punto erano un po' più distanziate e si riusciva ad ammirare le montagne circostanti.

The road made of porphyry blocks makes the appearance of the village even more rustic.

Beautiful place to erect a church, the view is wonderful, it is located right on a terrace.

Unfortunately the church was closed, it would have been nice to visit the inside!

It was almost time for lunch, we were going back but attracted by another road we decided to take a small detour and we did well!

Era quasi ora di pranzo, stavamo tornando indietro ma attirati da un altra stradina abbiamo deciso di fare una piccola deviazione e abbiamo fatto bene!

We arrived at the top of a small hill where the view was even more beautiful, we were at an even higher point.

Siamo arrivati in cima ad una piccola collina dove la vista era ancora più bella, eravamo in un punto ancora più alto.

Back near the castle, we took a short break near a fountain and a wash house where the women cleaned their clothes. I had never seen an ancient wash house with a cover like this one.

Tornati nei pressi del castello, abbiamo fatto una breve pausa vicino ad una fontana e ad un lavatoio dove le donne pulivano i panni. Non avevo mai visto un antico lavatoio con copertura, come questo.

It was time to eat, we were starving, so we stopped at the "Antica Croce" restaurant which is very close to the village. I recommend it because we ate very well and the prices were adequate.
If you are near Lake Garda, in the Riva del Garda area, I suggest you stop in the village of Tenno, take a relaxing walk, in the quiet alleys that will take you to a unique environment and eat in this restaurant.

I will definitely be back!

Era ora di mangiare, stavamo morendo di fame, così ci siamo fermati al ristorante "Antica croce" che è vicinissimo al borgo. Ve lo consiglio perchè abbiamo mangiato benissimo e i prezzi erano adeguati.
Se vi trovate nei pressi del Lago di Garda, zona di Riva del Garda, vi consiglio di fare una tappa nel borgo di Tenno, farete una passeggiata rilassante, nei silenziosi vicoli che vi porteranno in un'ambiente unico e mangiare in questo ristorante.

Io ci tornerò sicuramente!
