Excursion to Lake Revine, Treviso - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

Hi guys, how did you spend Easter?
I decided to join a group of hikers for a day in the open air at Lake Revine, in the province of Treviso.

The meeting point was in Lago Revine, we were about 40 people, departure at 9:30. Without wasting time we immediately set off along a slightly uphill asphalted road.

Io ho deciso di unirmi ad un gruppo di escursionisti per fare una giornata all'aria aperta presso il lago di Revine, in provincia di Treviso.

Il punto di ritrova era a Lago Revine, eravamo circa 40 persone, partenza alle 9:30. Senza perdere tempo ci siamo subito incamminati lungo una strada asfaltata in leggera salita.

The weather conditions were spectacular, the temperature was excellent and I really wanted to walk in the fresh air.

Le condizioni meteo erano spettacolari, la temperatura era ottima e avevo proprio voglia di camminare all'aria aperta.

We went deeper and deeper into the vegetation, the path was narrow and in some places you could see the lake.

Ci siamo addentrati sempre di più nella vegetazione, il sentiero era stretto e in alcuni punti si riusciva ad intravedere il lago.

Then we came to this little bridge. Just think that the structure that supports it is made with railway rails and date back to the First World War!

Poi siamo arrivati a questo piccolo ponte. Pensate che la struttura che lo sostiene è realizzata con le rotaie della ferrovia e risalgono alla prima guerra mondiale!

After a steep climb we arrived at a small tourist attraction. A giant yellow bench where tourists love to photograph themselves.
These things do not appeal to me very much, but if it serves to attract visitors, I support the initiative.

Dopo una ripida salita siamo arrivati ad una piccola attrazione turistica. Una panchina gialla gigante dove i turisti amano fotografarsi.
A me non attirano molto queste cose, però se serve ad attirare visitatori, appoggio l'iniziativa.

More than being attracted to the bench I enjoyed the landscape on the lake which was not bad at all!

Più che essere attratto dalla panchina mi sono goduto il paesaggio sul lago che non era niente male!

e then returned along the same path and walked towards the lake, passing through the village which has some very nice glimpses.

Siamo poi tornati per lo stesso sentiero e abbiamo camminato in direzione del lago, passando per il borgo che ha qualche scorcio molto carino.

Arriving at the lake, we stopped for a few minutes to contemplate the serenity of that landscape with the almost still water that instilled a certain tranquility.

Arrivati al lago, ci siamo fermati qualche minuto per contemplare la serenità di quel paesaggio con l'acqua quasi ferma che infondeva una certa tranquillità.

With a slow pace we started the tour of the lake which has centuries-old trees and some very suggestive observation points.

Con passo lento abbiamo iniziato il giro del lago che presenta piante secolari e alcuni punti di osservzione molto suggestivi.

After at least a couple of hours of walking we stopped to eat a sandwich and we continued among some houses that featured paintings on the walls, a practice that I am encountering very often in the province of Treviso and beyond.

Dopo almeno un paio di ore di cammino ci siamo fermati per mangiare un panino e abbiamo proseguito tra alcune case che presentavano sulle pareti degli interessati dipinti, una pratica che sto riscontrando molto spesso nella provincia di Treviso e non solo.

Old houses made of stone always have their charm. This one had a beautiful wisteria in bloom, how beautiful, I would love to create a wisteria bonsai!

Case vecchie fatte di sasso hanno sempre il loro fascino. Questa aveva un bellissimo glicine in fiore, che bello, mi piacerebbe creare un bonsai di glicine!

We went from inhabited areas to others with only flower meadows.

ITA

Siamo passati da zone abitate ad altre con solo prati fioriti.

What can I say, it was a great walk! We walked about 13km, got a lot of sun and had good laughs in company.

Sometimes walking in company is pleasant...but not too often! : D

How did you spend the Easter holidays instead?

Che dire, è stata una gran bella camminata! Abbiamo camminato per circa 13 km, ho preso un sacco di sole e mi sono fatto delle belle risate in compagnia.

Ogni tanto camminare in compagnia è piacevole...ma non troppo spesso! :D
