Me ha pasado mucho estando en Hive, que descubro datos interesantes que no conocía sobre canciones que había estado escuchando durante toda mi vida. Al identificarme siempre con la melodía y ritmo de las canciones, nunca he prestado atención a sus letras generalmente, aunque haya llegado a parafrasear una que otra, pero nunca comprendiendo su significado como tal...Y al estar en Hive y tener mas contacto directo con la lírica y con datos que investigo sobre tales canciones, me encuentro de frente con informaciones que me han impactado y me han dejado sorprendido. Tal es el caso de esta canción; "Cuando los angeles lloran", que cuenta la historia de Chico Mendes (Francisco Alves Mendes) un sindicalista brasilero defensor de la selva amazónica y de los derechos de sus habitantes, que fue asesinado injustamente por partidarios de la privatización de la explotación de estas tierras. Fue un gran personaje muy influyente quien realizo importantes hazañas en la defensa de la amazonía, por lo cual luego de su fallecimiento se le han rendido diversos tributos a lo largo de los años...Entre ellos esta épica canción de la banda de pop-rock mexicana Maná, que ademas de ser uno de sus clásicos mas populares, conlleva este contexto tan triste y hermoso a la vez. Canción que ademas vengo a arruinar hoy con mi interpretación haciendo la voz una octava por debajo ya que en su linea original es demasiada alta y no hubiera podido llegarle comodamente. Como siempre trate de arreglarla con algunas ecualizaciones y efectos. Y sin mas que agregar aqui se las comparto...espero les pueda gustar. I've been on Hive a lot, discovering interesting facts I didn't know about songs I've been listening to all my life. By always identifying myself with the melody and rhythm of the songs, I have never paid attention to their lyrics generally, although I have come to paraphrase one or another, but never understanding their meaning as such... He was a great and very prominent character who performed important feats in the defense of the Amazon, for which after his death various tributes have been paid to him over the years...Among them this epic song by the pop band- Mexican rock Maná, which in addition to being one of their most popular classics, carries this sad and beautiful context at the same time. Song that I also come to ruin today with my interpretation doing the voice an octave below since in its original line it is excessively high and I would not have been able to reach it comfortably.
