Dragon Ball Super: Broly, The Best Movie In Recent Years Of This Beloved Show/Dragon Ball Super: Broly, La mejor película en los últimos años de esta querida serie.

There are very few stories that had their heyday during the 80s and 90s, that today it seems that time has not caused any havoc on them, they remain with that fidelity generating feelings of nostalgia, but with a freshness that seems simply not pass them bill over the years, that's why today I bring you my opinion of the movie Dragon Ball Super Broly.
Son muy pocas las historias que tuvieron su apogeo durante la década de los 80s y los 90s, que en la actualidad pareciera que el tiempo no causo ningún estrago en ellas, se mantienen con esa fidelidad generando sentimientos de nostalgia, pero con una frescura que parece simplemente no pasarles factura durante los años, es por eso que hoy les traigo my opinión de la película Dragon Ball Super Broly.
If you are a big Dragon Ball fan you will know that the character Broly had already appeared in movies like Dragon Ball Z: Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan, Dragon Ball Z: Broly Second Coming and Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly, however none of these movies where the character had appeared were part of the canon, that is to say they were stories that did not count with the participation of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, so this movie that does tell a story created by Him, does actually conserve all the essence and authenticity of the Dragon Ball that many of us knew when we were younger.
In my case I have seen all the Dragon Ball Tv anime series till movies like Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F', I must say that in my opinion this is the best Dragon Ball movie that has be released in recent years, because although like the previous ones this film also has that feeling of watching a long episode of the animated series, I find it much more solid in terms of its characters and especially regarding the origins of Broly, this aspect of an antagonist who was not born evil but the circumstances were really molding him in such a way that he is an uncontrollable beast with a truly immeasurable power, which has not been directed in the right way, I really liked it and the truth is that Akira Toriyama managed to deliver a story where the script finds a good balance between melodrama, comedy and action.
Si eres muy fan de Dragon Ball sabrás que el personaje de Broly ya había aparecido en películas como Dragon Ball Z El poder invencible, Dragon Ball Z El regreso del guerrero legendario y Dragon Ball Z Bio Broly, sin embargo ninguna de estas películas donde había aparecido el personaje formaban parte del canon, es decir fueron historias que no contaron con la participación del creador de Dragon Ball Akira Toriyama, de modo que esta película que si cuenta una historia creada por Toriyama, si conserva toda la esencia y la autenticidad del Dragon Ball que muchos de nosotros conocimos cuando éramos más jóvenes.
En mi caso que he visto todas las series de Dragon Ball hasta películas como La batalla de los dioses y la Resurrección de Freezer, debo decir que para en mi opinión esta es la mejor película de Dragon Ball que ha salido en los últimos años, ya que si bien al igual que en las anteriores esta cinta también tiene esa sensación de estar viendo un episodio largo de la serie animada, me parece mucho más solida en cuanto a sus personajes y sobretodo en cuanto al origen del Broly, este aspecto de un antagonista que no nació malvado sino que realmente, las circunstancias lo fueron moldeando de tal forma que sea una bestia incontrolable con un poder realmente inmensurable, que no ha sido encaminado de la manera correcta me gusto mucho y la verdad es que Akira Toriyama logro entregar una historia en donde el guion encuentra un buen balance entre el melodrama, la comedia y la acción.
Of course, if you are not familiar with this anime series you should know that the drama that Toriyama handles in Dragon Ball is glorified with a very epic music, to emphasize the emotions of the characters, something that may be laughable for some part of the audience but I really love when we have these melodramatic moments, because I think they add a lot of weight and emotional charge to the story. As for the voice acting for the Latin American version I must say that once again they were great, having Mario Castañeda back as Goku, Rene Garcia as Vegeta, Gerardo Reyero as Frieza and even Ricardo Brust (the original voice of Broly in the previous movies) was just awesome.
Similarly I should mention that comedy is also a regular component in this franchise and is the order of the day with some jokes that feel genuine, organic and have good impact to relieve tension, now as for the action element I mentioned before, I really think there is no way to measure or to describe the level of epicness the battles have in this film, thanks to a fantastic animation quality, full of details and with a quite impressive finish to see, although I must admit that at some point I felt a little overwhelmed by so many effects, colors, hits and explosions, although regardless of that the animation in general terms does not disappoint and is definitely spectacular.
Another very important aspect to mention is the fanservice which in this movie is at the order of the day (with fanservice I mean when a Tv series or a movie show some element or some situation that they know the fans are longing to see). There are many moments in here that even if you are not very knowledgeable about Dragon Ball stories after what you have seen when you were a child or a teenager, you are going to feel all that nostalgia because they really cared not only to expand this universe for an old audience that is already hooked, but also for newcomers by bringing elements that they know all fans will recognize, personally I really appreciate this because it made me remember my siblings and I sitting in front of the TV when we were kids watching Dragon Ball, wishing we were Goku, Vegeta or Gohan.
Eso sí, si no estás familiarizado con esta serie de anime debes saber que el drama que maneja Toriyama en Dragon Ball es glorificado con una música muy épica, para enfatizar en las emociones de los personajes, cosa que de pronto puede ser risible para alguna parte del público pero a mí la verdad es que fascina cuando tenemos estos momentos melodramáticos, porque me parece que le agregan mucho peso y carga emocional a la historia. En cuanto a las actuaciones de voz para la versión de Latinoamérica debo decir que nuevamente estuvieron estupendas, tener de regreso a Mario Castañeda como Goku, René García como Vegeta, Gerardo Reyero como Freezer e incluso a Ricardo Brust (la voz original de Broly en las anteriores películas) fue simplemente genial.
Del mismo modo debo mencionar que la comedia también es un componente habitual en esta franquicia y está a la orden del día con unos chistes que se sienten genuinos, orgánicos y tienen buen impacto para aliviar la tensión, ahora en cuanto al elemento que mencione de la acción, la verdad pienso que no hay una forma de medir o de poder describir el nivel de epicidad que tienen las batallas en esta película, las cuales cuentan con una calidad de animación fantástica, llena de detalles y con un acabado bastante impresionante de ver, aunque eso si debo admitir que en algún momento puntual me sentí un poco abrumado por tantos efectos, colores, golpes y explosiones, pero aun así pienso que la animación en general no decepciona y definitivamente es espectacular
Otro aspecto muy importante para mencionar es el tema del fanservice el cual está a la orden del día (con fanservice me refiero a cuando una serie o una película muestran algún elemento o alguna situación que sabe que los fanáticos están añorando ver), aquí de verdad en muchos momentos y a pesar de que no seas muy conocedor de las historias de Dragon Ball después de lo que hayas visto cuando eras niño o adolescente, vas a sentir toda esa nostalgia porque realmente se preocuparon no solo por expandir este universo para una audiencia antigua que ya esta enganchada, sino también para una nuevo publico al traer elementos que saben que los fans reconocerán, personalmente agradezco mucho esto porque me hizo recordar a mis hermanos y a mi sentados en frente de un televisor cuando éramos niños viendo Dragon Ball, deseando ser Goku, Vegeta o Gohan.
Now talking a little bit about Frieza I must say there are very few movies that manage to have two effective villains in the same plot, as both Broly and Frieza has intentions that seemed to me quite concrete and with more layers than I could imagine at first, in fact I found these characters much more interesting compared to others that feel a bit more caricatured or that suddenly simply decided not to address them, because honestly in this film the center of attention is Broly sharing a very good ground with the villain Frieza, who is always very captivating to see for his personality.
So in conclusion dear community, I think that Dragon Ball Super Broly definitely surpasses the time bar without problems, it does not feel the passing of the years in these characters that have captivated a whole generation, it has a good balance between history, charisma and a very well executed action. Definitely Dragon Ball is more alive than ever and I really hope the next film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is at least at the height of this Broly's movie.
Ahora hablando un poco de Freezer debo decir que son muy pocas las películas que logran que dos villanos sean efectivos en una misma trama, ya que tanto las intenciones de Broly como de Freezer me parecieron bastante concretas y con más capas de las que en primera instancia pudiera imaginar, de hecho encontré a estos personajes mucho más interesantes a comparación de otros que se sienten un tanto más caricaturizados o que de pronto simplemente decidieron no abordarlos, porque honestamente en esta película el centro de atención es Broly compartiendo un muy buen terreno junto al villano Freezer, quien siempre resulta muy cautivador de ver por su personalidad.
A final de cuentas querida comunidad, pienso que Dragon Ball Super Broly pasa definitivamente la vara temporal sin problemas, no se siente el paso de los años en estos personajes que han cautivado a toda una generación, tiene un buen balance entre historia, carisma y una acción muy bien ejecutada, Dragon Ball está más vivo que nunca y espero que la próxima película de Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero este como mínimo a la altura de la de Broly.
