Wednesday Walk: A Moment in Seunong With the Stream Glory

(Edited)

This is my first post in the Wednesday Walk community. I see this is a great community, and I'm interested in posting regularly here every Wednesday. Thanks to @tattoodjay for the initiative to create the #wednesdaywalk challenge.

About a month ago, I went back to my hometown for a while to visit my parents, in the district of Pidie Jaya, Aceh. I was there for two days.

I remembered that there is a place to get nice photography spots around the hills of Seunong, about 2 kilometers from the capital city of Pidie Jaya district, Meureudu.

The most interesting thing to me is that in Seunong, there is a rocky river that flows from the Bukit Barisan mountains. The water is very clear and fresh, plus the cool air that blows from the mountains.

Around the river, my eyes caught a brilliant green subject. It is the stream glory, one of the beautiful damselfly species belonging to the family Calopterygidae. I was so excited to shoot it, I forgot to capture another subject.

And unfortunately, at that time the sky was cloudy. I had to get out of there before it rained.

Oh, I can't seem to. Because it's too far from where I live now. Thanks for leaving a comment by the way.
