The evening atmosphere in my neighborhood.
Hello everyone yesterday I leave work early than every day, the last customer took a photo at the studio, on my way back to home I decided to make a stop because the weather was good and I wanted to show you this place near my house. It's a place they started to rebuild and extend not long time ago in the sino-portugese style as the center of the old Phuket town. There is an hotel famous in Chinese community where I like to have lunch on my day off. The shops on the front of the street do not all have owner yet and the resiendials behind are far to be sold but I think this place will become very popular in few years. At the evening it is a very pleasant place to relax.
สวัสดีทุกคน เมื่อวานผมเลิกงานเร็วกว่าทุกวัน ลูกค้าคนสุดท้ายถ่ายรูปที่สตูดิโอ ระหว่างทางกลับบ้านผมตัดสินใจหยุดเพราะอากาศดี และผมอยากจะแชร์สถานที่นี้ใกล้บ้านของผท เป็นสถานที่ที่พวกเขาเริ่มสร้างใหม่ และขยายออกไปไม่นานมานี้ในสไตล์ชิโนโปรตุกีส ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์กลางของเมืองเก่าภูเก็ต มีโรงแรมดังในชุมชนชาวจีนที่ผมและครอบครัวชอบทานอาหารกลางวันในวันหยุด ร้านค้าที่อยู่ด้านหน้าถนนยังไม่มีเจ้าของทั้งหมด หรือยังขายไม่ออกนั่นเองครับ และที่อยู่ด้านหลังก็ขายบ้านจัดสรรก็ยังมีเหลืออยู่หลายหลัง แต่ผมคิดว่าที่นี่จะได้รับความนิยมอย่างมากในอีกไม่กี่ปีข้างหน้า ในตอนเย็นเป็นสถานที่ที่น่าพักผ่อนมาก

So the other day I had a look at why it is these buildings remind me of those in Caribbean. It turns out the buildings in Caribbean are also influenced heavily by Sino-Portugese style (mostly Portugese)
What is the function of this place? Looks like entrance to a theme park..
This is mainly a residential area with security at the entry and commercial on the main road with restaurant, coffee, clothes.
Looks quite posh for a residential area.
When I try to recall my memory of my visit in macau, and yes, the building in your picture looks like Portuguese style as it’s similar to the old building in macau
Such a contrast between the Casino district and the comparatively run down residential districts
But it’s funny to see such contrast, one is modern and luxury building and the other side is super antique style of the building
I get the feeling that there is a pretty big wealth divide there. All it suggests to me is that atleast in the context of Macau, a rising tide did not lift all the boats with it.

☝️ not just in Macau, Hong Kong and mainland China also got this situation, the rich man become richer, the poor people becoming even poor 😨
