The event made them unforgiving not that the actors were unforgivable.
At the other end, they refused the blame the event as it was plainly their decision to be such.
Which is more real and truthful?
Someone capable of hurting, did hurt you and the situation is beyond remedy or acceptable apology.
Apology given or not given do not make the situation forgivable as forgiveness is a conscious decision.
Your decision determines if the situation is forgivable or not.
