My Actifit Report Card: January 11 2024| Year-end visit to Atsuta Jingu Shrine/熱田神宮へ年末の参拝/[ENG/JPN]

After all, I have not yet made a Hatsumode to a shrine in 2024.
This is not a picture of Hatsumode, but of a visit to Atsuta Jingu Shrine on a different day.

Atsuta Jingu is a famous and big shrine, so it gets extremely crowded during New Year's.
Many people spend New Year's Eve around Atsuta Shrine, so the private railways and subways in the nearby stations operate almost all night long to transport visitors to the shrine.
The Atsuta Shrine is surrounded by many night stalls. A surprisingly large number of takoyaki (octopus dumplings) and yakisoba (fried noodle) shops also open their doors.
Many people look forward to visiting the main shrine as soon as the date changes and the new year begins.

This photo was taken a few days before New Year's Eve when I went to Atsuta Jingu Shrine.
It was already prepared for the New Year.

What this sign is, it shows us the fortune of this year for each zodiac sign, so that we can quickly see things like whether or not we are in a bad year.

Although I did not measure it precisely, this signboard is probably made in such a ratio that a single signboard fits nicely when photographed with a smartphone held vertically.

Walking along the approach to the shrine, I arrived at the main shrine.
There were many people visiting the shrine that day as well.

I think they were the same people I was, who came to the shrine during the year because it is very crowded for about five days after New Year's. It was cloudy and chilly on this day, but it is always really popular on weekends and holidays.

There is a spring that never dries up in the middle of the path, and you can pay your respects at the spring.

There is also a small shrine in the middle of the path, which is called "the most powerful spot in the Atsuta Shrine grounds," where you can also visit.

The path is like a promenade in a small forest, and this path is a place where you can taste and feel the freshness of the air every time you walk along it.
Whenever I come to Atsuta Jingu Shrine, I try to walk around this small path slowly after paying my respects at the main shrine.

The name of this path is "Kokoro no Komichi.
This path is open to visitors from 9:00 in the morning and closes at 16:00.

I usually try to arrive at Atsuta Jingu Shrine early in the morning, visit the main shrine, take a short rest until 9:00, walk to the shrine when the path opens, and return to the front of the main shrine.

Kishimen is very famous at Atsuta Jingu Shrine.
In fact, there is a cafeteria on the grounds of Atsuta Shrine, which was renovated around 2020.
You can order and eat kishimen there.
However, it looked like it was going to rain that day, so I decided to buy half-fresh noodles and make them at home.

The renovated cafeteria is self-service, and in addition to kishimen, you can also order sweets and coffee.
I would like to enjoy this cafeteria again, so I would like to set aside a day to relax and spend at Atsuta Jingu Shrine. Of course, I will do so when the weather is a little warmer.

結局2024年は神社へ初詣はまだ行っていません。
これは初詣ではなく、別の日に熱田神宮へ参拝に行った時の写真です。

熱田神宮は有名で大きな神社なので、お正月はものすごく混雑します。
年越しを熱田神宮周辺で過ごす方も大勢いらっしゃるので、最寄駅の私鉄と地下鉄がほぼ徹夜で運行し、参拝にくる方を運びます。
熱田神宮の周囲はたくさんお夜店で囲まれます。たこ焼き屋さんや焼きそば屋さんなどの食べ物屋さんもびっくりするぐらいたくさん開店します。
日付が変わって、年が明けたと同時に本殿に参拝するのを楽しみにしている方が多いのです。

この写真は、大晦日の数日前に熱田神宮へ行った時に撮影したものです。
もう、新年に向けての準備がされていました。

この看板は何かというと、干支ごとに今年の運勢を示してくれているもので、厄年であるかどうかといったことをすぐに見られるようになっています。

正確に測ったわけではないですが、この看板、おそらくスマートフォンを縦に持って撮影した時に、一枚の看板が綺麗に収まるような比率に作られているのではないかと思います。
よく考えられていますよね。

参道をあるいて、本殿に到着しました。
この日もたくさんの人がお参りに来ていました。

私と同じ「お正月から5日間程度は非常には混雑するから、年内にきました」という人たちだと思います。

この日は曇った肌寒い日でしたが、土日休日は参拝にくる人が常にいるので、熱田神宮は本当に人気のある神社だなと思います。

こちらは神楽殿という建物で、新年のお祓いやご祈祷の時に使われる建物です。

私は勤めている会社の安全祈願のため、一度だけご祈祷に参加したことがあります。
この建物に入りましたが、本当に大きくて広い建物です。

私が神楽殿に来たのはご祈祷を見に来たわけではなく、熱田神宮本殿の裏をぐるっと歩いて回ることができる小径をめぐるためです。

神楽殿の横から小径に入り、本殿の周囲を歩いて行くのですが、途中に枯れない泉があって、そこにお参りすることができます。
また「熱田神宮の宮地内では1番のパワースポット」と呼ばれている場所があり小径の途中にあり、そこにもお参りできる小さな神社があります。

小さな森の中の遊歩道のような作りになっていて、この小道は歩くたびに味わい深くて、空気が本当に清々しく感じられる場所です。
私は熱田神宮に来たら、本殿にお参りした後でこの小径をゆっくり歩いて回るようにしています。

この小径の名前は「こころの小径」です。
朝の9:00からこの小径を通行できるようになり、16:00に閉まります。

私は大体朝の早い時間に熱田神宮に到着するようにして、本殿に参拝し、9:00まで少し休憩をして、小径がオープンしたら歩いて参拝し、本殿前に戻るようにしています。

これが熱田神宮の宮地の地図です。
名古屋市のほぼど真ん中にあり、巨大な緑の公園のような感じです。

敷地内には文献を保管してある図書館や、文化財を保管してある建物や、結婚式場があります。
小さな神社が敷地内のあちこちに祀られていて、全て巡ってみたいので、しっかり時間をとって来ようと思っています。

熱田神宮ではきしめんがとても有名です。
実は熱田神宮の敷地内には食堂があって、2020年頃にリニューアルされました。
そこできしめんを注文して食べることができます。
しかし、この日は雨が降りそうだったので、半生麺を買って帰って自宅で作ることにしました。

リニューアルした食堂はカフェテリアになっていて、きしめん以外にスイーツやコーヒーを注文することもできます。
またこのカフェテリアも楽しんでみたいので、のんびりと熱田神宮で過ごす日、というのを設定したいと思います。もちろんもう少し暖かい季節になってから。

はい、出来上がり。
1ヶ月前からずっと風邪をひいては治り、また風邪をぶり返し、また治し、というのを繰り返しています。
暖かいヌードルを食べて元気になりたいです。

■ひとこと日記
今日は化学物質の管理者のための安全衛生講習を受講しに行ってきました。
その講習会場の近くにも神社が2箇所あって、もし時間があったらお参りしようかと思ったのですが、外国人の観光客の方が大勢いらっしゃってびっくりしました。
