Good day everyone!
This is my first time joining here on this travel photography contest.

My photos were taken last week when my friend showed me around her neighborhood. This place is one of the towns in the province of Zambales, Philippines.
Zambales has fourteen towns and San Marcelino is the fourth town from my city.
It is known for its beautiful beaches and lahar mountains where the famous Mt. Pinatubo can be found on the town of Botolan also the home of the most delicious mangoes.

This view right here is just a ten minute drive from my friend's home. Basically this very huge lahar river is just behind her house. She took me on this viewing area where you can see the town of San Marcelino, San Antonio (the farthest part leading to the ocean) and also a part of Castillejos.

The view here is spectacular. You can see how vast the lahar river is. See that opposite mountain. There is a barangay there called Sta. Fe and lots of people live there as well even foreigners which my friend say that they only go to town once a month because there is really no road going there. They have to cross this vast lahar river back and forth. It's the dry season now so the crossing is easy but when it's the rainy monsoon months this dry lahar river also that part with lots of pine trees like this whole dry land on the river will be a part of the river itself specially when the high tide and the heavy long rains come together. No land will be visible just pure angry flowing water.
Thinking about how difficult it is really made me feel grateful that our house is in the city and everything is just easy access.

Made me feel so grateful indeed.
But of course their peace and tranquility with nature all around could not be beaten by the comforts of the concrete jungle.

Well, we all have our choices though where to settle.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this breath taking view. The photo did not really bring justice to how amazing this place is. My phone could not get the whole wide angle. That's why I shared three photos for the whole panoramic view.

Thanks for dropping by.

As always, be happy😊
