Este imponente edificio fue inaugurado en 1823 propulsado por las ideas del entonces ministro de Buenos Aires Bernardino Rivadavia quien poco tiempo después en 1826, se convertiría en el primer presidente de Argentina. El museo lleva su nombre en su honor.

Este museo, se encuentra ubicado en Parque centenario , Buenos Aires, Argentina. Cuanta con una arquitectura completamente inspirada en la fauna y flora , cosa que se puede observar tan solo en la entrada con las decoraciones de animales, esculturas y demás.

This imposing building was inaugurated in 1823 propelled by the ideas of the then minister of Buenos Aires, Bernardino Rivadavia, who shortly thereafter in 1826, would become the first president of Argentina. The museum bears his name in his honor.

This museum is located in Parque Centenario, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It has architecture completely inspired by fauna and flora, which can be seen just at the entrance with decorations of animals, sculptures, and more.

Al entrar, lo primero que vimos fue la sección de astronomía. En la entrada, hay un meteorito de llamado El Toba cuyo peso de de mas de 4 toneladas. Muchas de las piezas exhibidas fueron donadas por academias científicas.

A medida que nos adentrábamos mas en el edificio, descubríamos cada vez mas cosas interesantes como esqueletos de animales y actuales, algunas esculturas y otros embalsamados.

Upon entering, the first thing we saw was the astronomy section. At the entrance, there is a meteorite called **El Toba** which weighs over 4 tons. Many of the exhibited pieces were donated by scientific academies.

As we ventured further into the building, we discovered more and more interesting things such as animal and human skeletons, some sculptures, and other preserved specimens.

Fue fascinante ver como cada rincón de este museo te enseñaba todo sobre la naturaleza y sus seres vivos.

Cada exhibición tenia su descripción así que nos tardamos un poco en recorrerlo porque quería saber todo incluso, nos mostraban a escala real, esqueletos del ser humano y como fue evolucionando a lo largo de los milenios.

Quede asombrada al ver, los tamaños de ciertos animales que no vi nunca en persona. Solo fotos y eso pero tenerlos cara a cara aunque sea embalsamados o sus restos óseos, fue impactante.

It was fascinating to see how every corner of this museum taught you everything about nature and its living beings.

Each exhibit had its description, so it took us a while to go through it because I wanted to know everything. They even showed us life-size human skeletons and how they evolved over the millennia.

I was amazed to see the sizes of certain animals that I had never seen in person. Only photos and such, but having them face to face, even if they were embalmed or their skeletal remains, was shocking.

Solo miren el tamaño del sapo mas grande del mundo. Los Albatros, si bien los vi de lejos, no sabia que eran tan enormes. Lo mismo me paso al ver una cabeza de alce disecada que es mucho mas grande que yo entera ja,ja,ja y nada que decir de los resto de osamenta de ballenas y tiburones.

Otro esqueleto que llamo mi atención fue el del elefante asiático. Un enorme animal ya extinto que parecía mamut. Una criatura enorme y el mas impactante, el Megatherio: El oso perezoso mas enorme que jamás existió.

Just look at the size of the largest toad in the world. The Albatrosses, although I saw them from afar, I didn't know they were so enormous. The same thing happened to me when I saw a stuffed moose head that is much bigger than me, hahaha, and don't even get me started on the whale and shark skeletons. Another skeleton that caught my attention was the one of the Asian elephant. An enormous animal already extinct that looked like a mammoth. A huge creature and the most impressive one, the Megatherium: the largest sloth that ever existed.

Sin duda, la parte favorito de los niños (Y no tan niños je,je,je) es la parte de los restos fósiles de dinosaurios.

Estábamos como en un parque de niños Jurásico donde los esqueletos exhibidos eran imponentes y están aquí desde que tengo memoria ya que no es la primera vez que vengo a este sitio sino que, ya había venido en 3 ocasiones y una fue cuando era una niña de 5 años. Mi recuerdo mas vívido es el del dinosaurio de cuello largo y allí estaba, como siempre mostrando todo su esplendor y majestuosidad.

Undoubtedly, the favorite part of the children (and not so children hehehe) is the part of the dinosaur fossil remains.

We were like in a Jurassic children's park, where the displayed skeletons were impressive and have been here since I can remember, as it is not the first time I come to this place, but I had already come on 3 occasions, and one of them was when I was a 5-year-old girl. My most vivid memory is that of the long-necked dinosaur, and there it was, as always, showing all its splendor and majesty.

Había una sección para jugar a ser paleontólogos exclusiva de niños donde podían desenterrar huesos en una especie de caja de arena. Yo me quería meter pero me tuve que contener ja,ja,ja.

Realmente una experiencia hermosa, educativa, ideal para hacer con los niños ya que todos aman este tipo de cosas y de paso, aprenden un montón sobre los seres vivos que habitan nuestro planeta y tambien, de los que en su momento tambien lo pisaron dejándonos sus huellas para siempre (Los niños se sabían todos los nombres de los dinosaurios je,je,je).

There was a section for children to play as paleontologists where they could unearth bones in a sort of sandbox. I wanted to join in but I had to hold back haha.

Truly a beautiful and educational experience, perfect to do with children since they all love this kind of thing and they also learn a lot about the living beings that inhabit our planet and also about those who once walked on it, leaving their footprints forever (The children knew all the names of the dinosaurs haha).
