Hello to all the community of #ZDE. Here she leaves her unofficial participation, of the new initiative launched by the community, the queen of terror, that is, me ha ha ha ha 🤣.

As already said in the post with all the info: Initiative: Witches Month, November is the month chosen to address issues related to these beings that supposedly existed and that are sometimes represented as horrible women, full of warts with green skin, tousled hair, beaked hat, black cats for company and the so classic representation, flying on brooms.

Now that I think about it, I could be a witch and I didn't know it ha ha ha ha.

Whether you believe in them or not, the fact is that in one way or another they exist but perhaps not as we imagine them.

Today, I will tell you what I think about witches and what experiences I had with them. This is my personal opinion and everyone is free to believe what they want and this initiative is perfect for the exchange of ideas ❤️. Without further detours, let's start answering the questions.

Well, as I said, if we say witches, we automatically imagine a woman with a pointed hat flying on a broomstick and looking like an old woman making potions in a cauldron. But, to me, a witch can be anyone. What you read. There can be one in your house and you don't know it since someone who practices witchcraft can look as much like an old woman as a beautiful young woman.

For me, a witch is one who has the necessary knowledge of medicinal plants as these, have a very strong connection with nature and it is common knowledge that their forte, were the ingredients they could find in nature and their ability to use them for both good and evil. This is commonly referred to as White Magic or Black Magic and is why many were executed in ancient times.

Some witches use their power for evil and this involves other types of rituals such as sacrifices.

There are good and bad witches everywhere but you would not want to bother any of them.

Well, I think that partly yes and partly no. Nowadays ignorance still abounds and it is still believed that witches can take the form of animals such as owls and many people have sacrificed these animals for that reason.

The classic image of the witch has not changed much either, since they are always represented in the same way, with a few small exceptions.

On the other hand, in reality I think it did evolve. People don't believe in those things anymore and that My neighbor is a witch is usually nothing more than a simple gossip. If it were the old times many would already be hanged or burned for those rumors but in that sense I feel that we did evolve as a society.

Being a witch today is not the same as being a witch 400 years ago.

Well, I can't say I'm an expert on witches, but some concepts wander around in my head.

The concept of witch is changing, even independent women were treated as witches in times when they were not supposed to "surpass" men in terms of knowledge or work. Fortunately, that is now ingrained and gender equality has been implemented in society.

Witches commonly practice black, white or red magic and have a vast knowledge of mother nature. They know how to use healing concoctions or concoctions that can kill you extracted from nature.

That they fly on broomsticks is a myth. Precisely, because they experimented with herbs, some of them hallucinogenic. The concept of "flying on a broom" was alluded to one of those trances where they hallucinated that they were flying around the world after smearing themselves with these hallucinogenic herbs. This myth would forever mark the classic image of witches.

Believe, I believe. That there are people who do white magic I believe, that there are people who do black magic to harm, too. The level at which that spell will affect you will depend on how much you believe as well. The more you believe, the more it will affect you, that's why I prefer not to get into those things.

I'm one of those people who believe that whoever tries to harm you will get back twice as much, and no, I'll pass. I prefer to stay calm and ignore that kind of things, although I admit that it calls my attention to know them more than anything else to prevent myself.

Look if one day I come across one and it tries to hurt me. My best weapon will be knowledge.

If you believe in them, stay away.

No first-person experience like that, but I have been told some really shady things.
