En un afán por apaciguar la soledad, los seres humanos tomamos decisiones poco asertivas a la hora de escoger a nuestro compañero/a para que nos acompañe y llene ese vacío que dejó alguien mas ya sea porque se terminó o porque falleció.

¿Estarías con alguien cuyo pasado eran las calles? Si saben a lo que me refiero. Bueno, el capítulo de hoy nos muestra que puede pasar si decidimos ayudar a alguien que no corresponde la ayuda que le brindamos y que pasa, cuando en nuestro afán por no estar solos, vamos directo a una masiva autodestrucción porque no todos están listos para ser salvados.

In an effort to alleviate loneliness, humans often make non-assertive decisions when it comes to choosing our partner to be with us and fill the void left by someone else, whether because the relationship ended or because of death.

Would you be with someone whose past was the streets? You know what I mean. Well, today's chapter shows us what can happen if we decide to help someone who does not deserve the help we provide, and what happens when in our eagerness to avoid being alone, we head straight into massive self-destruction because not everyone is ready to be saved.

Cándida (Cecilia Roth), es una mujer de la vida alegre y un día conoce a Ángel (Norman Briski) , quien aparentemente se enamora de ella y decide sacarla de ese mundo pero lo que él no sabe, es cuanto peso tiene ese mundo para ella ya que Víctor, su proxeneta, es muy violento , la amenaza constantemente para que no deje ese estilo de vida y siga trabajando para él.

Cándida se encariña con Ángel porque es el primer hombre que la trata bien pero su pasado la atormenta a cada instante y ya no soporta la presión de Víctor.

Cándida (Cecilia Roth) is a woman of the cheerful life, and one day she meets Ángel (Norman Briski), who apparently falls in love with her and decides to take her out of that world. However, what he doesn't know is how much weight that world carries for her, since Víctor, her pimp, is very violent and constantly threatens her not to leave that lifestyle and keep working for him.

Cándida becomes fond of Ángel because he is the first man who treats her well, but her past haunts her every moment and she can no longer bear the pressure from Víctor.

Este capítulo me gustó mucho la verdad. El desarrollo de personajes es fenomenal . Llegas a adorar a Ángel y empatizar con Cándida pero a la vez la odias.

El sufrimiento es moneda corriente en este episodio de parte de ambos personajes y ese sufrimiento se apacigua en un momento pero los termina ahogando. El manejo de emociones con respecto a esto es fascinante porque no sabes si odiar o comprender a Cándida por sus acciones.

A veces, por más que tengamos la solución a un problema frente a nosotros, no la podemos ver o nos negamos a verla por miedo, haciendo que cometamos errores que nos arruinan de por vida ¿Por qué el ser humano es tan complicado? Somos seres complejos y más aún, si desde pequeños sufrimos todo tipo de abusos ya que de adultos, va a ser dificil ser reparados, es el caso de esta mujer que intenta ser una esposa buena (Improvisada digamos porque nunca supo serlo de buena manera) pero que no puede salir de su circulo vicioso de abusos y violencia ya que no esta acostumbrada a otra estilo de vida.

Lo que si me resultó un poco chocante fue la diferencia abismal de edad de la pareja . Ángel parece un tierno abuelito y ella, una joven mujer que se quiere aprovechar de él aunque en el fondo, lo quiere (A su forma) pero no puede escapar de las garras de su proxeneta. Siento que eran de mundos muy distintos y esa relación no iba a funcionar de ninguna manera por sus personalidades opuestas pero justamente, ahí esta el jugo de la trama. El, un hombre trabajador, con una vida tranquila, viudo, con problemas de autoestima si, pero buena gente y ella, con un historial de prostitución, abusos y violencia . Una mezcla que dará por resultado algo catastrófico ¿Por qué muchos se empeñan en herir a quienes los aman de verdad? Puedes sentir el dolor de ambos al no poder llevar una relación normal.

I really liked this chapter, to be honest. The character development is phenomenal. You come to adore Ángel and empathize with Cándida but at the same time you hate her.

Suffering is common currency in this episode for both characters and that suffering subsides at one point but ends up suffocating them. The handling of emotions in relation to this is fascinating because you don't know whether to hate or understand Cándida for her actions.

Sometimes, even though we have the solution to a problem right in front of us, we can't see it or we refuse to see it out of fear, causing us to make mistakes that ruin us for life. Why is the human being so complicated? We are complex beings and even more so if we suffer all kinds of abuses from a young age, as it will be difficult to be repaired as adults, as in the case of this woman who tries to be a good wife (Let's say improvised because she never knew how to be a good one) but who cannot escape her vicious circle of abuse and violence as she is not accustomed to another lifestyle.

What I found a bit shocking was the abysmal age difference between the couple. Ángel seems like a gentle old man and she, a young woman who wants to take advantage of him although deep down, she cares for him (in her own way) but cannot escape the clutches of her pimp. I feel they were from very different worlds and that relationship was never going to work in any way due to their opposite personalities but that's where the juice of the plot lies. He, a hardworking man with a quiet life, widowed, with self-esteem issues yes, but a good person, and she, with a history of prostitution, abuse, and violence. A mix that will result in something catastrophic. Why do many insist on hurting those who truly love them? You can feel the pain of both for not being able to have a normal relationship.

• Caso real/Real case:

El caso real ocurrió en el año 2004 por Floresta , Buenos Aires (Muy cerca de donde vivo) y los hechos fueron aún mas desquiciados ya que se muestran más detalles sobre la relación de ambos y si, en el caso real odié con todo mi ser a Cándida ya que no era ninguna victima y solo hacía sufrir a su esposo Ángel (En la vida real estaban casados mas no era asi en el capitulo).

En el libro, nos ofrecen detalles de como pasó todo y bueno, las noticias locales pasan por encima todos esos detalles , de igual forma, te dejo la noticia aqui por si gustas leerla , eso si, luego de ver el capítulo hazlo porque lleva spoilers , puedes comparar mejor y en esta ocasión, digo que el caso real , no se parece tanto al de la pantalla porque omitieron muchas cosas como que Cándida, abusaba en todo sentido de Ángel y le era infiel solo por pura maldad.

En cuanto al acto final del crimen, mientras que en el capitulo se vio como algo espontaneo en la vida real fue totalmente planificado por la mujer solo por que no hallo otra solución a su "problema".

Regarding the final act of the crime, while in the episode it was seen as something spontaneous, in real life it was completely planned by the woman just because she could not find another solution to her "problem".

A este capitulo, por ser poco fiel al caso real (Con similitudes nomas), ambientación, trama, música, le doy un 7/10. No es de mis favoritos pero si lo vi mas de 5 veces ja,ja,ja Imagínense los que me encantan ¡Saludos!

To this chapter, for being not very faithful to the real case (with similarities only), setting, plot, music, I give it a 7/10. It's not one of my favorites but I have watched it more than 5 times haha. Imagine those that I love! Greetings!
