Spirituality is not taught, we are born spiritual beings.

This morning while I was searching on the Gaia platform, to see a content of the ways of yoga (suggestion of my teacher).
I came across a series to which I got hooked by the title and watched the first episode, the series is MCA (Mind, Body and Soul), it was a festival held in Santiago, Chile in 2019.
The title of this episode is "Education and Spirituality" I immediately remembered the contest held in April by the @naturalmedicine community about spirituality, where I was blessed to participate twice and also to read wonderful entries.

But in this episode Dr. Amanda Céspedes, who is a very well known child and adolescent neuropsychiatrist in Chile, made her presentation about children and spirituality.

She, in a very simple way explains how children are the best example of spirituality, she says:
"The essence of the child is to be a spiritual BEING".
As we grow up, our hearts become smaller and we forget the wisdom with which we were born.

He also shows how children have in their hearts the spirit of collaboration, kindness, empathy, helpfulness, patience, living in the present because they do not even think about the future.

He shared examples of when a child sees you doing some work such as setting the table and will gladly collaborate, even offering to do it without being asked, while an adolescent does not have the same attitude, on the contrary, he responds that he is not raised to set the table.

Now then, I personally understand that we are born as beings full of this wisdom and that with the passing of the years we let this spirituality die, wanting to look for it in religion for example, when this is nothing more than an aspect of spirituality.

Another reason to learn to open our hearts as adults, if instead of pretending to teach spirituality we learn to make it prevail and remain in order to accompany children, who in themselves do not need to learn anything because they already know everything.

The child lives connected with magic, it is not the same to observe a child watching a beautiful sunset than an adult, or to see him enjoy the sea, the river, the animals, the child truly naturally connects with that essence.

While I was listening to the speaker, I remembered an anecdote with my grandson Xavier when he was only one year and eight months old, it happened at the passenger terminal, called la bandera, located in Caracas Venezuela.

Three years ago, it was already collapsed, 3 hours had passed since the departure time of our bus, all the people were impatient and to top it off they did not know if any other bus would arrive because, according to them, the unit where we would be traveling had had an accident.

We were all upset, tired, sleepy, hungry, stressed, desperate and annoyed, the spirits of all the people began to rise in front of the ticket office that had to answer us, and at that moment even I was screaming, when I heard Xavier's voice shouting: Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!
As I turned and looked at him, he began to chant the mantra: OM.

I was silent, and so were the rest of the people for a second and then they laughed, but that was enough to keep us all calm.

My daughter luckily with the phone in her hand managed to capture the picture, because he closed his eyes, even did the mudra with his fingers and gave me and everyone a great lesson of hey calm!

At that time I was beginning to enter the world of yoga and meditation and I know that through him with his great little wisdom and spirituality, the Divine sent me a message.

The photo was taken by my daughter, Xavier's mother with an Alcatel mobile device of which I honestly do not remember the model, only that it was an Alcatel.

But remembering this experience is a sample of the spirituality that is in the child, that we can only accompany them and any person who wishes to awaken, because within themselves they all have an inner strength that is the wisdom to move forward.

Spirituality is not taught, we are born with it and we should make it prevail.
