I do like this so much. It's difficult to capture the sense of being a child without sound juvenile when you write. You managed this nicely. What a journey Willy went on. A journey not so much with his siblings, but to the discovery that he was important to his mother.

I believed the farmer. He scared me with that gun. You never know...farmers care about their pigs :)

An enjoyable, believable story with a way home that is truly satisfying.

Exactly! Farmers don't joke with their pigs.

Many kids are like Willy, believing they have to be like another kid to be accepted or loved. In this case, Willy got to know he's important as well without the need to show off.
