Monday, April 20: Cleveland Pulls Away and Madison Square Garden Weeps

Monday was “Game 2” for three series that began to determine their fate:

Cleveland Cavaliers 115 - 105 Toronto Raptors (CLE 2-0): Donovan Mitchell (30 pts) and James Harden (28 pts) were a nightmare for Toronto. The Cavs defended their home court and now head to Canada with a lead that, statistically speaking, is almost insurmountable. Scottie Barnes did his best with 26 points, but Cleveland was just too much.

New York Knicks 106 - 107 Atlanta Hawks (Series 1-1): A scare in the Big Apple! C.J. McCollum led an epic fourth-quarter comeback to silence the Garden. The Knicks blew a 12-point lead, and now the series heads to Atlanta tied. A massive blow to New York’s morale.

Denver Nuggets 114 - 119 Minnesota Timberwolves (Series 1-1): A shocker in the mountains! Anthony Edwards emerged as the hero with a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds to snatch home-court advantage from the champions. Minnesota proved it has what it takes to go toe-to-toe with Jokic and company.

Tuesday, April 21: LeBron takes charge and Portland silences Texas

Yesterday, Tuesday, the remaining series also saw their second games:

Los Angeles Lakers 101 - 94 Houston Rockets (LAL 2-0): The King wants no surprises. At 41 years old, LeBron James led the Lakers to a 2-0 series lead. Houston fought hard, but L.A.’s defense in the final minutes was impenetrable. The Lakers head to Texas with their chests puffed out.

Boston Celtics 97 - 111 Philadelphia 76ers (Series 1-1): The Sixers reacted with cool heads. After Sunday’s drubbing, Philly tightened the screws and stole home-court advantage from the Celtics at a Garden that couldn’t believe its eyes.

San Antonio Spurs 103 - 106 Portland Trail Blazers (Series 1-1): Watch out here, brother. Without “Wemby” at 100% due to a concussion he suffered, the Spurs struggled. Portland capitalized and pulled off a nail-biter to tie the series. San Antonio needs its star back soon.

What I love about the NBA are these surprises—the motivation each team brings, the extra intensity, and the way they elevate their game to win these matchups. That’s why you can’t take your eyes off such a competitive league; these playoffs will always be exciting.

Lunes 20 de Abril: Cleveland se escapa y el Madison llora

El lunes fue de "Juego 2" para tres series que empezaron a definir su destino:

Ayer martes, las series restantes también tuvieron su segundo capítulo:

Lo que me gusta de la NBA son estas sorpresas de la motivación que tiene cada equipo, que pone más intensidad y mejora su nivel de juego para llevarse los duelos por eso no puedes pestañear en una liga tan competitiva, estos playoffs siempre serán interesantes.
