Blue Skies Are A Thing Here Now

skyme.jpeg

It's getting really cold now as we approach winter. Despite that, I've been getting out for my daily walks. It's not all determination and will power, it's partly due to the fact that we've been getting more blue skies than usual.

Because of the location of the UK, we get a lot of rain, clouds and overcast. While it doesn't usually get as cold as continental Europe, our autumns and winters are often quite dull and grey historically. Not this time round. We've probably had as many blue sky days as dull days so far this season.

The relatively good weather has been very encouraging for me to get out and walk. I've done enough days now to form a habit. Also, the autumn leaves have really put on a show this year since got way fewer storms so far. The leaves didn't get all blown away and were given a chance to shed in their own time, making for very beautiful photos of browning leaves up against the blue skies.

I must have thousands of photos like these now; clouds, aircrafts, trees and tall houses, all with the blue sky as the background. Never mind "Caribbean blue", it's "British blue" now.

I quite like this time of year. If you wrap up warm it's great to be out. Mind you, no blue sky here right now.
