My Most Funny/Embarrassing Moment

About a few days ago, my team had a new client to onboard on our application, so from the office, we drove down to the client site. On arriving at the premises, the security guys did their checks and took our attendance before we were allowed into the building.

After we went to the building, I called the contact person, informing him about our arrival, so he came to pick us up upstairs. I was the one to do the presentation and demo of the application, and I was well-dressed and prepared, ready to kill the show. I didn’t know my stomach was preparing me for war. I hadn’t eaten any complicated things, and all of a sudden there was turbulence in the belly. I excused myself before the meeting started to take away any disturbances because it wasn’t the right time.

I have been holding the gas in my anus. I couldn’t do that there, and it was becoming uncomfortable for me while I was standing up. I could not hold it anymore. I had to try to release it while I was walking to the restroom quietly, but to my greatest surprise, the gas sounded really bad and all eyes were on me. I was embarrassed, so I apologized and ran off. I was definitely ashamed of those guys who laughed at me like “So as fine as the lady looks, she gasses out”.

I have to take my time in the gent and prepare for all the eyes on me again because gassing out loud is fine, but if it should come with an unpleasant smell, you will not want to go back to that same place out of shame. Trust me, my gas came with an unpleasant smell. I don’t know how to go back there and do my presentation, but the deed has been done. I just have to put my shame behind me and face it.

I got back to the conference room, apologized, and asked if I could continue the presentation. While I was on it, my eyes caught an air freshener that was sprayed while I was in the restroom. I felt so embarrassed again, and I was silent and lost in thought. They began to look worried, so my line manager called out my name, and immediately I snapped out and apologized again.

This ruined everything I prepared for; I lost my confidence and looked gloomy, but the consolation part was that the client ended up buying the application just believing it was natural. At times, we can deny nature, but for me, it came at the wrong time and embarrassed me. Ever since then, when I have a presentation, I don’t eat anything to bed prior to the day, so I won't repeat such a huge mistake, but trust me, it was really funny.
