Ball dresses are often one of the best outfit in any girl child's wardrobe, a fantasy of colorful the Cinderella look in these dresses coupled with sash, broches and flowery hair cover or bands.

As a designer I creatively learnt how to mix roses, flower applique to make hair bands that complements every designed ball gown.

For a start I learnt how to make ball gowns with an African print fabric, how to use a bridal net to get the desired fullness as you will see in her photo section .

Almost three to four layers of different items ranging from Satin, under lining, tulle net and the hard bridal net.

Today am showing us samples of applique that I used to make a hairband for my clients daughter here.

It was her graduation and prize giving day in Lagos state but the outfit and headband was designed in Ilorin and send to Lagos through road transporters.

To make the headband, sometimes I make my own dit roses and other times I make use of ready made appliques.
A Alice band or elastic band can be used based on availability.
And here is a sample of a quick head band diy I made using an elastic band for my hair on my way out.
