My cleaning activity for Monday, the 1st of April, 2024.
Good evening my fellow Hivers, welcome to my blog. I carried out my cleaning within my community. This time around, I went to the back of my house. I saw different wastes such as paper, polythene, plastic bottles, wraps of biscuits and sweets etc. The place became neat after the cleaning exercise.
Plastics are the major component of waste disposed of indiscriminately in this part of the world. We need to use biodegradable materials instead of plastics.
- Polyethylene terephthalates:
PET is one of the most commonly used plastics in consumer products
It is most frequently used in water and beverage bottles, food jars, peanut butter jar containers, salad dressing and oil bottles, clothes fiber, mouthwash bottles etc. Plastic waste is causing significant environmental problems, and we need to find ways to minimize its effects
