The earth, our beautiful planet is full of resources, these resources have been exploited in different ways as they have been discovered, about this exploitation is understandable that at the beginning, due to ignorance the methods of exploitation were not the most appropriate or sustainable, to respect our planet, But today, with so many advances and studies, we know quite well the damage that is caused to the different ecosystems, depending on the type or method of exploitation that we decide to use, but many times the ambition of the human being can overcome his sanity and he does not seem to care about the damage he causes to the planet he inhabits.

Based on the above considerations, fracking is a very aggressive and unconventional method of exploitation that is currently being used for the extraction of gas and oil mainly in the USA, as well as in other latitudes, to understand the damage that this method causes, the first thing to do is to explain what it is or how it is carried out. In fact, the use of this technique in the soil of the United States allowed them to increase their production and as a consequence oil prices fell worldwide.

Fracking is a method to extract gas or oil from the subsoil. Its name comes from hydraulic fracturing, which means hydraulic fracturing. This method has been used in the United States since 1947 ... What does this technique consist of?

Fracking consists of injecting a fluid, composed mainly of water, at high pressure into these rock formations in order to open fissures so that gas or oil can escape and thus be extracted from the subsoil.

Certainly, this method is considered very dangerous, as it can damage the soil where it is performed and eventually cause disasters such as earthquakes, so this extraction technique is strongly attacked and criticized by organizations and groups, which defend the planet and ecosystems, these groups are the front of resistance against this terrible method. The consequences are terrible, not only on an environmental level, but also on a social level, among them:

Water: huge quantities of water are needed to carry out these practices and this liquid cannot be cleaned 100%, thus reducing the availability of water for living beings.
Contamination: in addition to the water used, the water table is polluted due to the chemicals used. In the vicinity of fracking areas, fauna and flora are affected by noise pollution and lack of drinking water.
Methane: Fracking is a super emitter of methane, a greenhouse gas that can be between 21 and 80 times more effective than CO2 in aggravating global warming.
Forced migration: given the living conditions generated in the lands surrounding fracking exploration sites, many people have had to leave their lands and lose their livelihoods because they are no longer productive or because their own health was at stake.
Earthquakes and earthquakes: Fracking is guilty of numerous episodes of induced seismicity and increased frequency of earthquakes.
Economy: these methods have become profitable because the price of oil has risen disproportionately, so fracking does not contribute to stabilize its price.
