Sand Storm from Sahara!

Two days ago, there was an annually recurring weather phenomenon here across Germany. Sand from the Sahara desert was hurled into high altitudes and distributed over Europe by strong winds. The result was an orange-yellow sky and the light mood - especially towards evening - was very strange, but also somehow beautiful.
Capturing this photographically was quite difficult. Above a picture of a nearby church and the prevailing light mood.
Vor zwei Tagen gab es hier in ganz Deutschland ein jährlich immer wiederkehrendes Wetterphänomen. Sand von der Saharawüste wurde in große Höhen geschleudert und durch starke Winde über Europa verteilt. Das Ergebnis war ein orange gelber Himmel und die Lichtstimmung - besonders gegen Abend - war sehr seltsam, aber auch irgendwie schön.
Dies fotografisch einzufangen war recht schwierig. Oben ein Bild von einer nahegelegenen Kirche und die dabei herrschende Lichtstimmung.

Thank so much for commenting! As far as I know the sand does not cause health issues. In the news you only hear from people having allergic reactions in general should avoid to go outside.
