It's important to be the example figure that children could learn from by themselves. I !love all the points you listed. Solving conflict peacefully, is an amazing skill if learned in a young age~ The question is how?

It is now easy but it can be done. We as parents need to set an example. They learn from us. It takes time but if we are consistent we'll have better chances of success.

My aunt values honesty, and she and her husband taught their children to never lie. But when my cousin got into school, he found most of his classmates and teachers lying, and he had an argument with his mother about it: "Why I shouldn't lie to a teacher that lies to me? "

Uh, that is a very philosophical topic! Nice! But I see what you are saying. I don't think other people's wrongdoing excuses my wrongdoing.

Anyway, the one I'm most interested in knowing how to help children become better at is this one:

....my children learn to be frustrated religious people or to be people of authentic faith.

Long subject but at the core is always "congruency". Parents set the example. If we live an authentic relationship with God there is no need to "pressure" our kids to be believers. If they see that is real, I believe they will want it for themselves.
