"The Bitchy Side" of ChatGPT. I Had To Reiterate It...

I have stated in a couple of my previous posts already that I highly disagree with users that are putting out content on Hive that's entirely created by ChatGPT. I don't believe that such posts should be considered "original work" and worthy of being curated. This is my take, I might be wrong, I am often wrong... Take it as you will.

I have used ChatGPT, though, since it got launched, and still use it once in a while. I do that mostly for proofreading my posts before I post them, not being a native English speaker such a service helps a lot, and I also sometimes use it as a Google alternative...

But this is where my relationship with the AI bot stops. I am not against technological evolution and disruption, I am however against excessive usage and the cost humanity has to pay as a whole for such excessive use and influence of AI technology.

I'd rather drive internal combustion engine-powered vehicles and "pay the price" for spare parts and agricultural products that come out of the hands of humans rather than have access to cheaper options at the cost of lots of human labor being out of job and suffering. This is probably one of my "bad qualities"(I care too much)... But I'm not willing to change any time soon.

Anyway, let's get back to ChatGPT...

The screenshot that you see on top of the introduction for this post was taken after "a conversation" I had with ChatGPT, asking it to proofread one of my posts I had on Hive yesterday. The bot refused to "proofread some parts of a particular article" because it does not want to "engage or promote conspiracy theories". Man, you don't promote shit, I am... You just have to proofread my shit, but you will soon be doing far worse than that...

Why did the bot refuse to help me in proofreading my article? It's because it was trained to do that(not, particularly my case of course). ChatGPT, pretty much the same as TikTok is using algorithms that are "trained by their creators" and despite the fact that OpenAI(the company behind ChatGPT) was once an open source project in which Elon Musk poured $100 million dollars, it is now owned by Microsoft of Bill Gates and other shareholders.

Hence, it will do as "these say". That simple...

Many are praising ChatGPT, especially GPT-4, and soon-to-come GPT-5 because it makes their lives and earnings easier. Well, I can assure you it will do that for a while, but when many more will wake up to these so-called productive to-use services you guys that are praising it right now will be facing yourselves with the situation of creating an insane competition between each other.

A war that should not have been started from the beginning...

When there's a minority using it then it's the majority that will suffer by losing jobs and whatever, but when the majority will be ridding the wave then the waters will start getting dirty for all these AI wave surfers. It's "prime time now", but it won't be for too long.

Last but not least, I will have to add the fact that I am certainly sure that the powers in charge who are desperately thirsty for policing the internet will for sure use AI in the not-so-distant future as their propaganda machine. This is when these algorithms will have nothing against "engaging with or promoting the theories their algorithms are dictating".

To me, it is crystal clear who is behind these algorithms... I can not overlook however how crooked this AI service is right from its early days... It is not as great as some of you are pretending it to be... Case closed.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

Haha, Adrian!
