I am very attracted to butterflies and of course I like to photograph them. I don't know where my love for butterflies comes from but they are one of my favorite insects.

Maybe it's because I'm a very visual person and I find their patterns and colors amazing, it's almost poetic that they also have the ability to fly. They remind me of how amazing nature is and they always manage to impress me.

Me atraen muchísimo las mariposas y me gusta por supuesto fotografiarlas. No sé de donde nace mi gusto por las mariposas pero son uno de mis insectos favoritos.

Quizá se deba a que soy una persona muy visual y sus patrones y colores me parecen asombrosos, es casi poético que además tengan la capacidad de volar. Me recuerdan lo increíble que es la naturaleza y siempre logran impresionarme.

Symbolically they represent rebirth, transcending earthly limitations and rising to the light through self-transformation.

It is a symbol of immortality, rebirth and resurrection, it represents the ephemerality of joy and beauty. Because of its capacity for transformation, it embodies metamorphosis and the potentialities of being.

Simbólicamente representan el renacer, el trascender los limitaciones terrenales y elevarse a la luz mediante la transformación propia.

Es un símbolo de inmortalidad, renacimiento y resurrección, representa lo efímero de la alegría y la belleza. Por su capacidad de transformación, encarna la metamorfosis y las potencialidades del ser.

A butterfly represents change, transformation and evolution.

Una mariposa representa cambios, transformaciones y evolución.

Each one is unique, as well as following a pattern of color and shape according to its species, each one has a characteristic feature that differentiates it from another, as it also happens with art and craftsmanship, no matter how many times you repeat a piece, each one maintains a feature that differentiates it, such as a stroke or a small variation in tone or size.

Cada una es única, así sigan un patrón de color y forma según su especie, cada una posee un rasgo característico que la diferencia de otra, como pasa también con el arte y la artesanía, por más veces que repitas una pieza, cada una mantiene un rasgo que la diferencia, como un trazo o una pequeña variación en el tono o en el tamaño.

Photographing butterflies most of the time is difficult, you have to wait patiently and wait for them to land in a place where you can see them without disturbing them, without making sudden movements or loud sounds that may scare them. I particularly like to watch them for a while and admire them before photographing them.

Fotografiar mariposas la mayoría del tiempo es difícil, hay que aguardar con paciencia y esperar que se posen en un sitio en donde puedas alcanzar a ver sin molestarla, sin hacer movimientos bruscos, ni sonidos fuertes que la puedan asustar. A mi particularmente me gusta observarlas un rato y admirarlas antes de fotografiarlas.

There are some that have been more difficult to capture in a photo than others, I think this is because some are more sensitive to movement. At this time of the year there are almost no butterflies to be seen.

Most of the photos I have were taken earlier this year, perhaps because the first months of the year coincide with their mating season and for that reason they are seen in greater numbers. I don't know much about how they are classified and the name of their species, but I would certainly like to know and learn more.

Hay unas que han sido más difíciles de capturar en una foto que otras, esto creo que se debe a que algunas son más sensibles al movimiento. En esta época del año casi no se ven mariposas.

La mayoría de las fotos que tengo las hice a principios de este año, quizá porque los primeros meses del año coinciden con su época de apareamiento y por esa razón se ven en más cantidad. No sé mucho de cómo se clasifican y el nombre de sus especies, pero sin duda me gustaría saber y aprender más.
