The progress of my air vegetable garden and the big planter [Eng-Esp]

Feliz tarde, amigos de Hive. Los saludo con mucho cariño, deseando de todo corazón que se encuentren bien. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes, el progreso de las plantas de nuestro jardín. Espero que les guste.

Happy afternoon, friends of Hive. I greet you with much affection, wishing you well from the bottom of my heart. Today I want to share with you, the progress of the plants in our garden. I hope you like it.

Como mencioné en una publicación anterior, en mi casa no hay terreno para sembrar, todo está cubierto de cemento. Sin embargo, en el huerto aéreo que diseñó mi papá y la gran maceta que tenemos en la parte de arriba de la casa, hemos logrado obtener nuestra pequeña cosecha.

As I mentioned in a previous post, in my house there is no land to plant, everything is covered with cement. However, in the air vegetable garden that my dad designed and the big planter that we have on top of the house, we have managed to get our small harvest.

En este pequeño espacio, tenemos sembradas varias plantas y hemos visto su progreso gradual. Tenemos una de ají en el huerto aéreo; estos ajíes parecen que son de los dulces, están creciendo poco a poco y constantemente le quitamos las hojas marchitas, para que ella pueda seguir creciendo y dándonos una bonita cosecha.

In this small space, we have several plants planted and we have seen their gradual progress. We have a chili bell pepper plant in the air garden; these chili peppers look like the sweet kind, they are growing little by little and we are constantly removing the withered leaves, so she can continue to grow and give us a nice harvest.

Al ladito del huerto tenemos una mata de guanábana, originalmente yo creía que era de naranja, pero mi papá me mencionó que aunque se asemejan mucho, realmente la planta es de guanábana y no de naranja. Está sembrada en un pote que era de pintura. Como pueden observar en las fotos ha mudado las hojitas. Cuando esté más grande llegará el momento en que tengamos que transplantarla a un sitio con más espacio. La llevaremos a casa de mi abuela, allí hay un patio grande, de seguro se convertirá en un gran árbol.

Next to the orchard we have a soursop bush, originally I thought it was orange, but my dad mentioned that although they look very similar, the plant is actually soursop and not orange. It is planted in a pot that used to be a paint pot. As you can see in the photos it has shed its leaves. When it is bigger, the time will come when we will have to transplant it to a place with more space. We will take it to my grandmother's house, there is a big yard there, it will surely become a big tree.

También tenemos una mata de pimentón, la cual ha tenido la bondad de regalarnos dos pimentones; pero el primer pimentón que nos dio no pude tomarle foto, así que le llevé un seguimiento a este segundo pimentón y aquí les tengo la foto de la generosidad de esta planta.

We also have a paprika bush, which has been kind enough to give us two paprika; but I could not take a picture of the first paprika it gave us, so I followed up on this second paprika and here I have a picture of the generosity of this plant.

Tenemos otra pequeña planta de ají en la maceta grande. Pero estos ajíes parecen que son picantes, la forma alargada de ellos nos da la ligera impresión de que son de esta especie, no obstante, tendremos que esperar a que crezcan un poquito más para comprobar sí estamos en lo cierto.

We have another small chili bell pepper plant in the big pot. But these peppers look like they are hot, the elongated shape of them gives us the slight impression that they are of this species, however, we will have to wait for them to grow a little more to see if we are right.

Otra agradable planta que tenemos es de lechosa, esta es la segunda que se nos da. La primera yo le tomé foto y la transplantamos a casa de mi abuela y ahora tenemos esta nueva que está creciendo de una manera muy bonita, en lo que esté un poquito más grande haremos lo mismo que hicimos con la primera.

Another nice plant we have is the lechosa, this is the second one we have had. I took a picture of the first one and we transplanted it to my grandmother's house and now we have this new one that is growing in a very nice way, as soon as it is a little bit bigger we will do the same as we did with the first one.

Nuestra hermosa mata de parchita está creciendo de una manera espectacular, también le quitamos las hojitas que ya están marchitas, día día nos sorprende con la manera tan espectacular que tiene de enredarse de la cabilla que está cerca de ella, esta planta es una de mis favoritas.

Our beautiful parchita bush is growing in a spectacular way, we also remove the leaves that are already withered, every day it surprises us with the spectacular way it has to tangle with the cabilla that is near it, this plant is one of my favorites.

Nuestra encantadora mata de tomates lamentablemente no sobrevivió, crecía y crecía pero por razones que desconocemos se le iban quemando las hojas de abajo. Teníamos la esperanza de que como tenía flores iba a dar fruto, pero lamentablemente no fue así. Se marchitó completamente y tuvimos que arrancarla.

Our lovely tomato bush unfortunately did not survive, it grew and grew but for reasons unknown to us the leaves underneath were burning. We had hoped that since it had flowers it would bear fruit, but unfortunately it did not. It withered completely and we had to pull it up.

Otra planta que habita nuestro huerto, es el cilantro de hoja ancha o mejor conocido como culantro. Estas plantitas también están bonitas y se están extendiendo por todo el pequeño huerto.

Another plant that inhabits our garden is the broadleaf cilantro or better known as culantro. These little plants are also beautiful and are spreading all over the small garden.

Han crecido plantas que no hemos sembrado, pero como tienen flores las hemos dejado. Al tener flores, es posible que vengan más insectos y polinicen las plantas que tenemos.

Plants that we have not planted have grown, but because they have flowers we have left them. By having flowers, it is possible that more insects will come and pollinate the plants we have.

Amigos, en poco espacio podemos tener nuestra pequeña siembra, aunque no nos van a dar una gran cosecha, nos reportan mucha alegría y un sentido de logro; porque estamos colaborando con el medio ambiente y esto redunda en beneficio para todo el planeta.

Friends, in a small space we can have our small planting, although they will not give us a great harvest, they bring us much joy and a sense of achievement; because we are collaborating with the environment and this benefits the entire planet.
