RE: Splinterlands Strategies: Conflicts, Join or Veto?

It's good to see how others are viewing this new style of drop!

The reasoning behind this change I understand. To force players to retain ownership, and not dump the cards (or unopened packs), to gain future airdrops. I have never engaged in this ropey practice, nor as far as I know, have any of the people I liaise with.

You liaise with reasonable sorts then :) I haven't taken part in any flipping of packs, but this new drop does also encourage me not to rent any useful (not max for my deck and more than 5/25/75 CP for the drop) Rebellion cards out, which I assume will mean more packs being bought?

While I earn many VOUCHER per day, the requirement of 50 per Mage Wagon is going to deter most Splinterland players except for the Whales and large SPS holders.

I don't count myself as either, and bought over 1500 vouchers with cash this last week. Vouchers do frustrate me though as I get 4 a day, rarely sell, and never seem to have enough when they are required.

Quick one on Wagons - it sounds like they will be required going forward (and are reusable).

I had bought that many RiftWatchers packs and a repeat order was not on the cards.
RiftWatchers was a decent set and for the most part, has retained its value. No regrets, but enough is enough.

I'm not sure of the logic here. The last set have held up in value and earned crypto daily since purchase, and you don't want more of that?

185 packs isn't cheap, but this wouldn't have qualified for many (any?) drops previously. This time around though there is a small chance at least?

So I reckon the new drop stylee:

  • Discourages flipping packs
  • Discourages rentals (which encourages pack buyers)
  • Offers at least some chance of a drop to smaller pack purchasers

As an aside and most likely unrelated, the % chance of getting a totem (as shown on baronstoolbox.com) when harvesting land has shown no better than 0.003% for me, and I have 3 totems. Either I'm a lucky bastard or the %'s are showing a little tighter than what they are.

Cheers!

4 vouchers a day? Did you not get any nodes when they were cheap! Hang on, they are cheap now, in the used market. You should have a look at getting at least one, over the long term my 3 have done me well.

This sucks! I rent quite a lot of cards but if the rent gets to such a stage that its peanuts, the cards will be added to the bot accounts. Quite sad really, as I used to play a lot more.

Oh yes, the best!

I just stuck all my Rebellion cards up for rent but had to adjust some as you always get the dickheads listing L3 commons at 180 DEC a day. I'm doing these manually as SplinterRents, I am sure can't handle 'dickhead tactics'. Vouchers listed too, I am quite sad not to be taking part.

I can feel the sadness, emanating as grumpiness perhaps!

Hopefully Rebellion will hold value and give value, then those still buying to max a set (out of love, addiction, stupidity?) Will probably do the same next time.

Not a grumpy as you might think, but you will see why soon.

No, just a bunch of GF's for Brawls and the BOT of course, if it chooses to use 'em.
