Train In The Distance|| Daily Photography Day 101

Another day of railfanning. A train in the distance waiting for a signal. If you look carefully, you will see the train's headlights. I can imagine being there for a while waiting for the signal to go green.

I dont know much about trains and stuff. There is another crossing a few feet away. How could the train be that close without the crossing gates being active?
