I Hate Being Autistic// Daily Photography Day 125 (2018)

This photo was taken back in 2018. I don't remember what sparked me to do it.
I think this was when I started blogging about autism and mental health. There are things I didn't know and still probably don't know. I shared a meme with a group thinking it was informational. Someone commented annoyed stating the post as "inspiration porn." I did not know what that meant at the time so I said "there is no porn here. I would not post that. it's against facebook's rules." instead of people thinking "hum, she def doesn't know what the guy is talking about, I should provide more info.' it seemed like based on how people respected, they thought I intended to do that. I even asked over and over what was the guy talking about. They all ignored the fact that truly didn't know.

It makes me mad that people automatically assume you did something on purpose instead ruling out miscommunication. No one cared to rule out miscommunication and actually explain why the meme was "inspiration porn"

Inspiration porn is using disabled people for "inspiration"

This topic is a spectrum
The meme has a collage of people who are autistic and stated that autism doesn't have a look. How is that inspo porn?

If people won't take a few minutes to explain things and outright assume ill-intent, I felt like I am better off alone.

I blog about autism on my blog give it a read if you want.

give my blog a read
